About the Role
We are looking for a Middle/Senior Backend Engineer to design and build scalable, real-time systems in the financial domain.
This role requires strong ownership, the ability to design systems independently, and experience working with production-grade applications.
Job Description
- Design, develop, and optimize backend systems for real-time data processing and analytics
- Architect and maintain database solutions with a strong focus on performance, scalability, and reliability
- Build and maintain APIs and services supporting high-throughput systems
- Take ownership of features end-to-end: from system design to deployment and optimization
- Propose technical solutions and contribute to architectural decisions
- Collaborate with frontend engineers to ensure seamless system integration
- Monitor and maintain production systems, ensuring high availability and performance
- Troubleshoot production issues: reproduce, debug, identify root causes, and implement long-term fixes
- Build internal tools and automation to improve system reliability and engineering efficiency
- Communicate progress and key technical decisions clearly with the Founder

Your Skills and Experience
+ Must-have Skills
- 3-5+ years of backend development experience
- Strong proficiency in Python (FastAPI or similar frameworks)
- Solid experience with PostgreSQL (schema design, query optimization, data modeling) and Redis (caching, pub/sub, queue patterns)
- Hands-on experience with Pandas or Polars for data processing (DataFrame transformations, aggregations)
- Experience building and operating production-grade systems
- Familiarity with asynchronous programming and concurrency, along with message queues (RabbitMQ, Kafka, or similar)
- Experience building REST APIs and WebSockets for real-time systems
- Strong understanding of system design, performance optimization, and production debugging/troubleshooting
- Hands-on experience with Docker and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions or similar)
A- bility to work independently and take ownership of system design and implementation
+ Nice-to-have Skills
- Background in financial systems, trading platforms, or market data
- Experience building real-time or data-intensive systems
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Experience with TimescaleDB, Parquet pipelines, or similar technologies
- Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Grafana, Sentry)
- Exposure to LLMs or AI-powered applications
