Role Overview
As a Fleet Planner, you act as a key coordinator within the operations team, working closely with the Fleet Controller. You are responsible for planning and scheduling driver runs for upcoming working days, as well as managing future container deliveries. This role involves direct communication with brokers to confirm suitable delivery dates within container availability windows.
1. Key Responsibilities
Daily Planning & Slot Booking
• 8:00 AM (Sydney time): Book Patrick terminal slots.
• Ensure all container availability dates are accurate and updated before instructing the Administrator to input container details into the system.
• Review all emails and identify any updates or changes that may impact planning.
• Confirm that HPA slots have been booked by the Administration team at 8:45 AM (Sydney time). If missed, proceed with the next release at 10:45 AM (Sydney time).
• 9:15 AM: Book DP World (DPW) slots
o On Fridays: 11:15 AM (Sydney time).
o Follow the same procedures as above
Planning & Coordination
• Once planning is completed and approved by the broker/client, proceed to instruct the Administrator to book the required slots.
• Be mindful that booked slots expire after 2 hours if container details are not entered.
• If slots are unavailable, monitor and secure allocations during second release times and B-carrier release windows
• Coordinate with other shifts
Fleet & Equipment Management
• Work closely with the Fleet Coordinator to:
o Update trailer statuses
o Arrange trailer movements for next-day planning
• Use the standard trailer table to track:
o Trailer locations at the end of each day
o Container status (loaded/empty)
o Empty park de-hires and scheduled de-hire dates
Driver Run Planning
• Insert "orange cells" between import/export jobs to indicate follow-up tasks (e.g., de-hires or export deliveries).
• Only assign additional tasks when the driver is returning toward the western region.
• Finalize all equipment allocation and de-hire planning before preparing driver run sheets.
Quality Control & Task Allocation
• Prepare and thoroughly proofread all driver run sheets.
• Submit finalized runs to the Vietnam office for task scheduling Forward Planning
• Plan ahead for upcoming slot booking days and future operational requirements.
• Request daily schedules from the S&D Logistics bookings team for containers arriving the following week.
• Closely monitor vessel movements to ensure accurate and efficient planning.
Yêu cầu
• Working Hours: Night shift from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM (VN Time) or Afternoon shift from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
• Gender: MALE for night shift, any for afternoon shift
• English: Fluent (4 skills), IELTS 6.5+, TOEIC 785+...
• Education: College or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Transportation, Supply Chain Management, or related fields is highly preferred.
• Experience: 1-2 years of experience as a Fleet Planner or Admin is highly preferred.
• Highly detail-oriented with a proven track record of proofreading run sheets and validating container data to eliminate system errors.
• Proficiency in MS Excel (specifically for tracking asset status/locations) and Transport Management Systems (TMS).
