About the Role:
We are looking for a proactive and commercially minded Procurement
Assistant Manager to join our Procurement team. In this role, you will support the end-to-end procurement process, working closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers to deliver optimal value, cost efficiency, and service quality.
You will play a key role in sourcing activities, supplier management, purchase order administration, and procurement process improvement while ensuring compliance with company policies and procurement standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Sourcing & Procurement:
- Support the development and execution of procurement strategies and category plans aligned with business objectives.
- Conduct market research and supplier analysis to identify sourcing opportunities, assess market conditions, and monitor pricing trends.
- Support sourcing projects including RFQs, RFPs, eAuctions, supplier evaluations, and contract negotiations.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, procedures, and governance standards.
2. Operational Procurement:
- Create and manage Purchase Orders (POs), ensuring accuracy and compliance with approved budgets and procurement requirements.
- Coordinate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve PO, invoicing, and payment-related issues promptly.
- Maintain procurement documentation and records to support compliance, reporting, and audit readiness.
- Provide procurement support for urgent business needs and operational requirements.
3. Supplier & Stakeholder Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Monitor supplier performance, service levels, and contractual commitments to ensure continuous improvement.
- Track procurement KPIs and support performance reporting and analysis.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand procurement needs and deliver effective sourcing solutions.
4. Continuous Improvement:
- Support procurement process enhancements and operational excellence initiatives.
- Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and digital procurement innovations.
- Contribute to achieving procurement targets, cost-saving initiatives, and team objectives.
Must-Have:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance, or related disciplines.
- 3-5 years of procurement, sourcing, or
purchasing experience.
- Solid understanding of end-to-end procurement processes, including sourcing, supplier management, and purchase order management.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and numerical skills with high attention to detail.
- Good communication, stakeholder management, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within cross-functional teams.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Good command of English (written and spoken).
Nice-to-Have:
- Experience in retail, FMCG, or multi-national/multi-market environments.
- Exposure to Marketing, Professional Services, or indirect procurement categories.
- Experience using procurement systems such as GEP, SAP Ariba, Coupa, or equivalent platforms.
- Professional procurement qualifications (e.g., CIPS) are advantageous.
