NPI Engineer:
Video Device Line: IP PoE Cameras, NVR, WiFi and Battery Cameras

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS
NPI and Manufacturing Experience (Process & Industrialization, Quality)
Key requirements:
5+ years in NPI / Manufacturing
2-3+ years in video devices (CCTV, NVR, WiFi cameras, battery devices)
Hands-on experience with full NPI cycle:
deep understanding of developing and manufacturing validating stage system (EVT, DVT, PVT, MP)
pilot run execution (0-series, ramp-up)
Hands-on experience working with EMS/ODM/sub-contractor factories (streaming video device manufacturing especially)
practical sub-contractor communication workflows (fast decision-making, informal channels)
process and design analysis knowledge
Experience in:
setting up production lines from scratch
provide onsite support during MP ramp
issues tracking and resolving issues directly on the line
defect analysis and NPI checklists
preparation of SOP (Standard Operating Procedures)
creation of WI (Work Instructions) with photo/video content
first article control and FAI (First Article Inspection)
temperature / humidity / vibration tests
perform production line balancing
monitor yield and defects analysis
yield improvement methodologies
identify bottlenecks (typically ICT/FCT or optics)
understand production line structure (SMT, DIP, Assembly, Testing, Packing)
Electronics and Testing
strong understanding of SMT process (stencil printing, reflow, AOI, X-ray for BGA)
familiar with typical defects (tombstoning, cold solder joints, voids)
ICT (In-Circuit Test)
FCT (Functional Test)
Burn-in testing
define test coverage
optimize test time (critical for cost)
boundary scan
simple UART debugging
MCU/CPU/SoC flashing procedures
Video Device Specific Expertise (Camera/NVR domain)
Image Sensors and ISP
understanding of sensor defects (soldering issues, hot/damaged pixels, shading, noise)
base understanding of BPC (Bad Pixel Correction)
understanding of factory calibration process (AWB/AE functionality, shading and OBC calibrating)
experience with setup and use of dark room / light box
ability to distinguish hardware, firmware and ISP-related issues
Optics and Focus
understanding of fixed and varifocal lens systems (zoom/focus/iris mechanics)
mounting/assembling tolerances (tilt, decenter)
focus adjustment (manual, motorized, AAA)
practical using of optical jigs / collimators
optical impact of protective glass (dome, flat glass and plastic windows)
Sealed Enclosures (IP66-IP68)
familiar with sealing methods (O-ring, gasket, sealants)
clear understanding of condensation issues (internal moisture)
understanding of using of silica gel / membrane vents
base knowledge of waterproof testing (IPX6/IPX7)
practical leak and pressure testing experience
PoE and Power
knowing of IEEE 802.3af / 802.3at
PoE negotiation issues understanding
experience with EMI/EMC challenges for remote powering solutions
ability to validate power stability under load
WiFi Connectivity
basic understanding of IEEE 802.11 b/g/n/ac basics (2.4 GHz vs 5 GHz behavior)
familiar with common RF issues (interference, attenuation, multipath)
WiFi provisioning flows (AP mode, BLE assist, QR onboarding)
simple debugging connection issues (association, DHCP, packet loss)
validating of WiFi performance in real environments (apartments, houses)
test roaming and reconnection behavior after power loss or sleep
RF test setups (shield box, conducted testing, OTA checks)
antenna tuning impact (layout, ground clearance, enclosure effect)
power consumption impact of WiFi (TX bursts, standby modes)
firmware-related issues (throughput vs stability trade-offs)
Battery-Powered Devices
Li-ion / LiFePO4 battery basics, protection circuits (BMS)
charging/discharging validation (cycle tests, cutoff thresholds)
current consumption measurement in different modes (idle, wake-up, streaming)
validate battery life claims under realistic usage scenarios (especially for critical temperatures ranges)
detect abnormal drain (leakage, firmware wake-up issues)

base knowledge for video compression (H.264/H.265/AV1)

boot and Secure boot procedures understanding
understanding of debug logs

validation of built-in microphones (sensitivity, SNR, distortion, MIC-arrays)
validation of speakers (output power, clarity, distortion)
define and execute audio test procedures on production line
identify issues such as noise, echo, acoustic feedback
acoustic design constraints (enclosure impact, sealing, waterproof membranes)
basics understanding of audio processing (AEC, AGC, noise reduction) and their impact on perceived quality
