Job Summary
Manage the company's import, export, and customs compliance activities in Vietnam. Ensure
accurate customs declarations, timely clearance, proper control of duty-free materials and
equipment, and consistency among customs, ERP, warehouse, production, and finance
records.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage daily import/export declarations, customs clearance, inspections,
amendments, returns, and local sales procedures.
• Review invoices, packing lists, contracts, bills of lading, certificates of origin, permits,
and customs declarations.
• Verify HS codes, customs values, origin, quantities, units, and import/export types.
• Ensure consistency of material and product codes across customs, ERP, warehouse,
production, and finance systems.
• Control duty-free materials, machinery, finished goods, WIP, scrap, waste, and
inventory, particularly for EPE/export-manufacturing operations.
• Coordinate BOM, consumption norms, production output, material usage, loss, and
inventory reconciliation.
• Prepare and review annual customs finalization reports and supporting documents.
• Lead customs compliance reviews, post-clearance audits, and corrective actions.
• Coordinate with Finance, PMC, Warehouse, Production,
Purchasing, IT, and external
customs brokers.
• Monitor changes in Vietnam customs and import/export regulations and update internal
procedures.
• Manage customs brokers, freight forwarders, and the internal customs team.
• Report major customs risks, discrepancies, penalties, and shipment delays to
management.
• Bachelor's degree in International Trade, Logistics, Supply Chain, Customs, Finance, or
a related field.
• At least 5 years of import/export or customs experience in Vietnam, including 2 years in a
supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of Vietnam customs regulations, HS classification, customs
valuation, origin rules, and duty exemption.
• Experience with EPE, export-manufacturing, annual customs finalization, and post-
clearance audits is preferred.
• Good understanding of BOM, consumption norms, inventory control, and manufacturing
processes.
• Proficient in Excel and ERP systems.
• Fluent Vietnamese; working proficiency in Chinese or English is preferred.
• Strong analytical, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
