The Workhorse Group is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Packaging Production Artist to support our growing creative and product development teams. Based in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, this position will work closely with U.S.-based creative, marketing, product development, sales, and other cross-functional teams to prepare and execute packaging artwork for customer presentations and final production.
The Packaging Production Artist will be responsible for creating, refining, and preparing packaging files while ensuring artwork meets customer specifications, brand standards, print production requirements, and applicable U.S. packaging regulations.
This role requires strong technical production-art skills, excellent attention to detail, the ability to read and accurately interpret English-language packaging copy and instructions, and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Because this position will collaborate extensively with U.S.-based teams, the successful candidate must be able to work a schedule that provides a minimum of four working hours of overlap with U.S. Eastern Time (ET) each workday.
Key Responsibilities
Packaging Artwork & Production
• Develop, revise, and execute packaging artwork and production files supporting multiple brands, product categories, customers, and retail programs.
• Prepare packaging artwork for customer presentations, approvals, prepress, and final production.
• Create and modify packaging files using Adobe Illustrator and other Adobe Creative Suite applications.
• Work accurately within established packaging templates, dielines, and production specifications.
• Review and prepare files to ensure they meet print production and prepress requirements.
• Make revisions to packaging artwork based on internal, customer, retailer, and factory feedback.
• Ensure final artwork maintains consistency with approved brand standards, customer requirements, and product specifications.
• Maintain organized and accurate production files throughout the artwork development and approval process.
Packaging Compliance & Accuracy
• Read, understand, and accurately interpret English-language packaging copy, instructions, specifications, style guides, and regulatory information.
• Interpret and apply customer and retailer packaging style guides and requirements.
• Ensure packaging artwork complies with applicable U.S. packaging, labeling, and regulatory requirements.
• Review packaging artwork carefully for accuracy, consistency, placement, formatting, and completeness prior to release.
• Identify potential artwork, production, or compliance issues and communicate concerns to the appropriate team before files are finalized.
• Maintain a high level of attention to detail across all packaging and production-art assignments.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Work closely with U.S.-based Creative, Marketing, Product Development, Sales, and other business teams to ensure packaging files are accurate and completed according to project requirements.
• Communicate effectively with U.S.-based team members regarding artwork revisions, project status, questions, deadlines, and production requirements.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners as needed to resolve artwork and production issues.
• Incorporate feedback accurately and efficiently while maintaining established brand and customer standards.
• Support clear communication between Vietnam-based resources and U.S.-based teams throughout the packaging development and production process.
Project & Workflow Management
• Manage multiple packaging projects simultaneously while meeting established deadlines.
• Prioritize workload based on project requirements, customer needs, and production schedules.
• Maintain accountability for assigned projects from initial artwork development through final production file preparation.
• Communicate proactively when information, approvals, or clarification are needed to keep projects moving forward.
• Adapt to changing priorities and project requirements while maintaining accuracy and quality.
Yêu cầu
• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Packaging Design, or a related field.
• 2-4 years of packaging production art, graphic production, prepress, or related experience preferred.
• Strong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.
• Experience working with packaging artwork, dielines, production templates, and print-ready files.
• Familiarity with production art and prepress workflows.
• Demonstrated ability to interpret customer style guides and packaging specifications.
• Knowledge and understanding of U.S. packaging and labeling regulations and requirements.
• Strong English reading comprehension with the ability to accurately interpret packaging copy, specifications, instructions, regulatory language, and customer feedback written in English.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English with U.S.-based team members.
• Strong attention to detail with a demonstrated ability to identify inconsistencies and errors in artwork and production files.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines while maintaining accuracy and quality.
• Ability to communicate clearly and work effectively across departments and functions.
• Ability to work independently with limited local supervision while remaining highly collaborative with global teams.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Preferred Qualifications
• Previous experience creating packaging for products sold in the United States retail market.
• Experience working with U.S.-based retailers, consumer product companies, brands, or creative teams.
• Experience interpreting U.S. retailer packaging guidelines and customer-specific style guides.
• Working knowledge of U.S. packaging compliance and labeling requirements.
• Experience preparing packaging artwork for mass-market consumer products.
• Experience coordinating packaging artwork with overseas factories, printers, suppliers, or production partners.
• Experience working in a global organization with teams located across multiple countries and time zones.
• Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify potential production issues before files are released.
