Job Objectives
Design, develop, and optimize PCB layouts for electronic products and systems. Ensure PCB designs meet performance, manufacturability, reliability, and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Translate circuit schematics into PCB layouts using CAD/EDA tools (e.g., Altium
Designer, Cadence Allegro, Mentor PADS).
• Define PCB stack-up, impedance control, grounding, and signal integrity requirements.
• Collaborate with hardware/firmware/mechanical engineers to ensure design compatibility.
• Generate Gerber files, BOMs, fabrication and assembly drawings.
• Work with manufacturing partners to ensure DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and DFA (Design for Assembly).
• Perform design reviews and ensure compliance with EMC/EMI standards.
• Debug prototype PCBs, support bring-up and testing phases.
• Maintain PCB libraries and documentation.
Requirements
• Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in Electronics,
Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or related.
• Experience: 2+ years in PCB layout/design for digital, analog, or mixed-signal circuits.
• Tools: Proficiency in Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro/OrCAD, or Mentor Graphics.
• Knowledge:
o High-speed design (DDR, PCIe, USB, Ethernet, HDMI).
o Power distribution network (PDN) and thermal considerations.
o Signal integrity, EMC/EMI, grounding and shielding techniques.
• Documentation: Ability to prepare Gerber files, fabrication drawings, and assembly documentation.
• Communication: Good teamwork skills, ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Language: English for reading technical documents; communication skills preferred.
Nice-to-Have
• Experience with PCB simulation (SI/PI analysis, thermal simulation).
• Knowledge of IPC standards (IPC-2221, IPC-7351, etc.).
• Experience working in semiconductor, IoT, or industrial products.
• Familiar with manufacturing processes and vendor communication.
