PLC & Robotic Programmers are responsible for the development of unique PLC and robotic programming along with developing schematics, automated control system bill of materials and
purchasing automated componentry. The PLC & Robotic programmers will maintain revision control programs and be responsible for the testing and commissioning of industrial automated machinery.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Configure and program PLCs (Siemens) and Robotic systems (Fanuc & Yaskawa) to support automation and production processes.
2. Create and maintain electrical Bills of materials (BOM) and handle the purchasing of necessary electrical components for system installations and maintenance.
3. Develop detailed electrical schematics and layout designs for control panels, ensuring alignment with system requirements and safety standards.
4. Commission and test industrial automated machinery, ensuring it functions properly. Troubleshoot and resolve issues in electrical and mechanical systems.
5. Integrate IoT technologies in automation systems, improving efficiency and enabling smart factory capabilities.
6. Perform electrical and mechanical repairs on production equipment to maintain factory processes and minimize downtime.
7. Gain comprehensive knowledge of electromechanical control systems throughout the factory and apply this knowledge to improve operations.
8. Identify issues with machinery, notify management, and work together to develop effective solutions.
9. Proactively suggest and contribute ideas for improving processes and systems, ensuring effective communication with team members.
10. Troubleshoot and work with various PLC systems (Allen Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi), including logging in and diagnosing system issues.
11. Support the installation and wiring of new and rebuilt equipment, ensuring all components are properly terminated and connected.
12. US Business Travel frequently (4-6 months) is strongly required.
1. Education:
• Bachelor's degree in
Electrical Engineering, Automation, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
2. Experience:
• 5+ years of experience in PLC programming experience.
• Strong experience working in Robotics industry.
• Expert in Electrical design and maintaining.
• Experience in wood working machines and furniture manufacturing industry is preferred.
3. Knowledge:
• Process control, robotics, and automation in a manufacturing environment.
• Deep PLC Experience on anyone make of PLC Siemens, Mitsubishi, Schneider.
• Experience with SCADA, HMI, and DCS systems.
4. Skills and Abilities:
• Strong English communication.
• Strong understanding of electrical codes, standards, and continuous improvement practices.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work effectively under pressure.
