Hybrid Workflow Optimization: Seamlessly balance and schedule production lines for both hand-thrown/hand-sculpted pieces and machine-pressed/jiggered items.
Kiln Management: Directly supervise the preparation, loading, firing schedules, and maintenance of gas shuttle kilns to ensure optimal temperature curves and minimal defects.
Inventory & Stock Control: Monitor raw material levels (clay, glazes) and efficiently manage the production of standard stock lines alongside bespoke projects.

project manager for international restaurant accounts, tracking custom orders from initial prototype development through to final export.
Timeline Accountability: Establish clear production milestones to ensure all international shipping dates and client deadlines are met consistently.

3. Quality Assurance (QA) & Process Control
End-to-End Quality Inspection: Implement and enforce rigorous quality standards at every stage-clay preparation, greenware shaping, biscuit firing, glazing, and final glost firing.
Defect Reduction: Identify root causes of firing cracks, glaze defects, or warping, and quickly adjust clay bodies, glaze recipes, or kiln cycles to fix them.
Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs): Maintain clear documentation for glaze mixing, firing logs, and machine operation to preserve consistency across batches.
1. Experience & Technical Background
Industry History: Must have a proven track record working within small-to-medium sized pottery factories or commercial ceramic studios.
Ceramics Expertise: Deep, practical knowledge of pottery production methods, clay properties, glaze chemistry, and shrinkage behavior.
Kiln Mastery: Hands-on experience operating and troubleshooting gas shuttle kilns.
Project Management Skills: Demonstrated success managing multiple complex, custom production cycles simultaneously.
2. Language & Leadership
Languages: Bilingual English and Vietnamese capability is highly preferred to effectively bridge communication between local factory floor employees and global corporate clients/management.
Leadership Style: A hands-on, detail-oriented leader who can motivate an artisanal team while maintaining strict manufacturing disciplines.
