This is a fixed-term external assignment focused on the technical design, development, maintenance and controlled enhancement of the Company's Microsoft Power Platform solutions, particularly local e-Office applications, Power Apps and Power Automate flows. Based on requirements, business rules and acceptance criteria prepared by the internal IT team, the Specialist will analyse technical feasibility, implement maintainable solutions, troubleshoot complex defects, support controlled testing and deployment, and provide complete technical documentation and knowledge transfer. The role does not include people management, business-process ownership, direct Global IT coordination, EDI, or logistics/freight application ownership.
Note: This is a 12-month contract position. The employment contract will be signed with the Company's authorized third-party service provider.
- Develop, maintain, modify and troubleshoot assigned Microsoft Power Platform solutions, including Power Apps Canvas applications, Power Automate cloud flows and, where assigned, Power Automate Desktop automations.
- Maintain and enhance current local e-Office applications and related automation flows, focusing on operational stability, data integrity, performance, security and maintainability.
- Deliver approved automation requests and development backlog based on functional requirements, business rules, test scenarios and acceptance criteria prepared by internal BA/window contacts.
- Analyse technical feasibility and propose suitable solution designs, data models and integration approaches without taking ownership of business prioritization or process decisions.
- Design and maintain approved data structures using SharePoint Online/Lists, Dataverse, SQL Server or other approved data sources, with appropriate validation, permissions, indexing and data-quality controls.
- Develop and support integrations using standard connectors, REST APIs, JSON, web services, custom connectors, on-premises data gateways and approved service accounts.
- Investigate complex production incidents by reviewing application logic, data, flow run history, logs, permissions, connections, gateway status and dependent services; identify root causes and implement controlled fixes.
- Implement appropriate error handling, logging, monitoring, notifications, retry/recovery controls and duplicate-prevention mechanisms.
- Apply Power Platform application lifecycle management practices, including Solutions, environment variables, connection references, version control, DEV/UAT/PROD deployment, release notes, rollback packages and post-deployment verification.
- Perform unit and technical testing, resolve defects from functional testing and UAT, and support production deployment under approved change and release controls.
- Maintain all source materials, solution packages, scripts, configurations and documentation in Company-approved repositories; do not retain exclusive copies or use personal ownership for production solutions.
- Prepare and maintain technical designs, data models, deployment instructions, support runbooks, known-issue records and recovery procedures sufficient for internal maintenance.
- Provide structured knowledge transfer, paired development, code/solution walkthroughs and practical coaching to assigned internal IT staff; support reverse-shadowing and capability verification.
- Support technical assessment, documentation, stabilization, migration preparation or controlled retirement of local e-Office solutions when required.
- Provide realistic effort estimates, progress updates, dependency/risk reporting and early escalation of issues affecting delivery, quality or security.
- Perform other technical development and knowledge-transfer duties reasonably related to the assignment scope, as approved by the
IT Manager.
► Education and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science,
Software Engineering, Information Technology, Management Information Systems or a related field.
- At least 4 years of professional application/software development experience, including at least 3 years of hands-on Microsoft Power Platform development and production maintenance.
- Demonstrable experience developing and supporting business-critical Power Apps and Power Automate solutions with non-trivial logic, data models, integrations and security requirements.
- Experience maintaining applications created by other
developers, enterprise application support, controlled deployment and knowledge transfer.
- Strong hands-on capability in Power Apps Canvas, Power Fx and Power Automate cloud flows.
- Strong knowledge of SharePoint Online/Lists and working knowledge of Dataverse and SQL Server, including relational data, queries, validation and permissions.
- Ability to design and troubleshoot REST APIs, JSON, connectors, custom connectors, gateways and service accounts.
- Practical Power Platform ALM experience using Solutions, environment variables, connection references and controlled deployment across environments.
- Strong debugging, performance tuning, error handling, logging and production-incident resolution skills.
- Ability to produce clear technical designs, source documentation, deployment instructions and maintainable solutions.
- Power Automate Desktop, AI Builder, Power BI, model-driven apps, Dataverse security, Git/Azure DevOps, JavaScript, C#, PowerShell or Azure Functions.
- Experience with approval workflows, e-Office, internal request systems, document processes or enterprise automation; relevant Microsoft certification such as PL-400 or PL-600 is advantageous.
