The Principal Architect is responsible for leading and managing multidisciplinary design delivery during the design phase across assigned projects. This role acts as the design-phase project lead, ensuring architectural intent, program, coordination, and deliverables across all disciplines are effectively managed in alignment with client requirements, regulatory frameworks, and CPG standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the design-phase project lead, taking overall responsibility for multidisciplinary design coordination and delivery;
- Lead and manage architectural design while chairing and coordinating all design disciplines, including CS, MEP, landscape, and specialist consultants;
- Manage design cope, program, resources, and deliverables across all disciplines during the design stages;
- Serve as the primary point of contact with the Client for design-phase coordination, decisions, and submissions;
- Ensure consistent integration of architectural intent with engineering, BIM, and consultant inputs;
- Plan, monitor, and control design schedules, submissions, reviews, and approvals across disciplines;
- Identify, manage, and resolve design coordination issues, risks, and changes during the design phase;
Review and endorse key design outputs prior to Client submission to ensure quality and alignment;
- Lead and facilitate design coordination meetings, workshops, and reviews involving all disciplines;
- Ensure compliance with design standards, contractual obligations, and local regulatory requirements;
- Support mentoring, collaboration, and capability development across the multidisciplinary design team.
Yêu cầu
Minimum Education/Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree and/or above in Architecture from an accredited university;
- Professional Registration in Architectural Design is a must;
- Recognized certification of Green Building / PMP / BIM is an advantage.
Minimum Years/Type of Experience
- Minimum 15 years of professional experience in Architectural design, with at least 5 years in a senior architectural or design manager or project management role;
- Proven track record in large-scale, complex projects across multiple sectors (e.g. healthcare, aviation, mixed-use, civic, etc.).
Language Proficiency
- English: Professional working;
- Additional languages: Fluency in other languages is an advantage.
Technical Competencies
- Strong expertise in Architectural design leadership and design management across project stages;
- Solid understanding of project management, including scopes, program, deliverables, and multidisciplinary coordination;
- Proven ability to lead and coordinate multidisciplinary design teams, including architecture, structure, MEP, landscape, specialist consultants;
- Good knowledge of international design standards, local codes, and regulatory approval processes;
- Experience working within BIM-enabled and collaborative design environments;
- Strong capability to review, assess, and endorse multidisciplinary design outputs critically and holistically;
- Ability to identify, manage, and mitigate design risks, changes, and coordination issues during the design phase.
