Role Description
. Product Engineering
Track changes in product specifications on the production line: set up new product specifications, manage conversion data when switching to new specs for existing products, and record information on production-related specification changes (machine running parameters, speed, common defects, and troubleshooting methods)
Organize and prepare the tools, equipment, and materials needed (related to machinery and equipment) for optimal product operation
Understand the product (drawing on knowledge of equipment parameters, operator actions, etc.) in order to determine which machine a product should run on and how. If a product is not running optimally, investigate the root cause and troubleshoot
Understand the output/efficiency of the equipment for each distinct product type
Advise Planning and Production Operation on adjusting the production plan to match equipment and machine conditions
Train workers on how to set up product specifications and production processes
Cooperate with relevant stakeholders to resolve customer complaints
2. Process Engineering
Understand the strengths, weaknesses, and optimal operating range of the equipment in order to advise Product Development (currently R&D), Production Operation, and QC when developing new products or processes. When related changes occur, advise the relevant parties to monitor equipment that is not operating optimally, investigate the root cause, and troubleshoot
Provide optimal operating parameters for Production Operation, R&D, and QC so they can guide proper operation and control
Understand the overall output/efficiency of the equipment
Train workers on equipment operation
Track equipment records, lifespan, wear and tear, etc., to jointly plan equipment repairs with Maintenance. Responsible for equipment performance (as distinct from Production Operation, which is responsible for production output)

Electrical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field. Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, operational, and technical principles
Ability to evaluate situations based on data and factual evidence to develop logical solutions
Ability to understand the requirements of stakeholders such as Production Operation, R&D, and QC, and translate them into machine operating parameters
