Procurement/
Purchasing Manager is responsible for participating in strategic sourcing and routine purchasing activities to obtain the materials, equipment, and services to deliver for new projects and production demand.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
1. Overall responsibility for the strategic sourcing management goals of assigned commodity and implement action items to ensure that those goals are achieved
2. Develop and implement commodity strategies, including sourcing, supplier selection, qualification domestically and internationally
3. Evaluate supplier core competencies and competitive positioning using industry cost models
4. Responsible for negotiations for best possible cost service guarantee and develop "win-win" strategies that achieve sustainable relationships with suppliers
5. Drive Cost Reduction thru commercial and technical lever
6. Implement supplier agreements/contracts when beneficial by working with cross-functional stakeholders and suppliers to reach agreement on contract terms and conditions
7. Analyze industry trends and evolving technology to proactively identify supply base issues to minimize risk, protect continuity of supply, and utilize emerging opportunities
8. Maintain and develop supplier relationships to meet company goals
9. Manage and collaborate New Product Realization (NPR) Project with R&D in cost optimization and vendor selection
10. Lead, train and guide purchasing team in daily purchasing functions
1. Education: A bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management or a related field.
2. 5-7 years working experience in well-established the assembly/ manufacturing companies in Vietnam
3. Direct experience dealing with suppliers for sourcing of raw materials/ spare parts etc.
4. Strong negotiation, communication skills and professional purchasing skills.
5. Proficiency in procurement software and tools (such as ERP/SAP systems).
6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
7. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with cross-functional teams.
8. Knowledge of supply chain and logistics management.
9. Fluent in English
10. Solid technical background relevant to the manufacturing/assembly industry.
11.Proven experience in sourcing and supply chain management.
12. In-depth understanding of import and export tax regulations and procedures.
