We are hiring a hands-on, proactive and persistent manager to source and manage suppliers for robotics components, tools, machinery and equipment supporting R&D, assembly and manufacturing.
I. Responsibilities
Identify and contact suppliers; consistently follow up by message, email and phone to obtain quotations, technical specifications and delivery timelines.
Work with engineers to clarify requirements, confirm specifications and identify alternative sources.
Compare suppliers and negotiate pricing, payment terms and delivery conditions.
Track samples, purchase orders, payments and deliveries; resolve delays, shortages and supplier issues through to completion.
Maintain and update a detailed tracker daily for every item: part number, specifications, quantity, supplier, quotation, communication status, order progress, payment status, expected delivery date, outstanding issues, responsible person and next action.
Maintain a supplier database with complete quotations, technical documents, correspondence and
purchasing records.
Proactively flag shortages, delays and budget overruns, with proposed solutions.
