I. RANGE OF DUTIES:
1. Product development for R&D projects
• Responsible for Bid (1) activities:
• Collaborate with the Technical
account manager (TAM) to understand customer requirements and applications then transfer to Sonion product requirements.
• Brainstorm/generate concepts to meet requirements and drive it to conclusion.
• Work closely with Prototype engineers to build prototype sample for customer.
• Estimate product cost, development cost and timeline to input for Business case (BC).
• Responsible for Product development:
• Evaluate concepts for product development to meet product requirements.
• Create FMEA of product concepts, do Tolerance analysis (TA) to define the specification and tolerance for product.
• Build model for product concepts, evaluate model by simulation.
• Collaborate with Process Development Engineer to design parts which have good process capability and support for automation manufacturing.
• Do Design for manufacturing (DFM) with supplier for cost and quality optimization.
• Create drawings of part, assembly and final product.
• Do Part validation for mass production.
• Input for IP Assessment.
• Define Technical datasheet (TDS) for customer commitment.
• Leading problem solving and investigation for technical issues.
• Responsible for Project integration:
• Define detail work breakdown for development plan and drive it with right decision to committed timeline.
• Estimate and manage product cost throughout the project.
• Input for
Project Manager about the feasibility, timeline, and risks regarding the technical part of the project.
• Monitor and control technical progress, prioritization activities or escalate to Project Manager and Stakeholders if foresee risks impact to project goals.
• Communicate and negotiate with customers related to technical topics.
• Collaborate with other departments to bring the project to successful.
• Responsible for the R&D deliverables defined by the Sonion system.
2. Development representative for released platforms and product variants
• Is the first contact point as R&D consultant for the released platforms and variants regarding changes in product design.
• Input risk assessment and define impact in case of product change.
3. Responsible for Non-Released samples
• Assess technical feasibility and provide input how to build non-released samples through sample request from customer or internal project.
• Cooperates with Prototype Engineer, Process development engineer and
designer of industrialization for making first article samples in engineering projects run in VN.
• Evaluate product performance and product quality before sending to customer or for internal project.
4. Review work package of the project
• Inputs technical assessment of the work packages in the project charter relate to product. Assesses if work packages can handled by the product team in Vietnam, and propose staffing of resource.
• Supports to develop competencies of the product team about product, development, etc.
1. Education: University degree, Electrical - Electronic major is preferable
2. Professional Experience:
• At least 3 years working experience in Engineering
• At least 2 years working on PCB design and manufacturing, PCBA - SMT Production (**)
• Having knowledge about coating-nano coating technology, PCB Design and manufactoring, PCBA and Production is preferable
3. Good command in English
4. Knowledge of computer servicing:
• Microsoft Office
• Can make 2D, 3D drawings (SolidWorks or similar software)
• Circuit design: OrCAD/Proteus or similar software
• Basic Programming (C++/Python or similar programing language)
5. Professional knowledge of:
• PCB design and manufacturing, PCBA - SMT Production
• Circuit Analysis and Design
Knowledges on PCB manufacturing, PCB design rule & control quality of SMT production.
Do DFM evaluation on PCB design, SMT process flow with vendors to support design optimization & manufacturability.
Analyze design, and troubleshoot if design / manufacturing issues.
• Electrical System Design
Proficiency in using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, OrCAD, Altium Designer) for circuit and PCB design.
• Knowledge of Electrical Standards and Safety
Familiarity with IEC, IEEE, NEC, ISO standards.
• Signal Processing and Control Systems
Understanding of Digital and Analog Signal Processing and automation systems.
• Use of Laboratory Instruments and Tools
Experience with oscilloscopes, multimeters, function generators, spectrum analyzers, etc.
• Common Technical Tools
• MATLAB/Simulink
• LTspice/Multisim/Proteus
• Altium Designer/Eagle
• GerVIEW
• Coating - nano coating technology
Base knowledge on coating in general and especially nano coating technology and its application
Able to define factors impact to coating process and correlation of those factors: coating materials, thickness, coating surface, roughness, geometry, etc.
