We are seeking a Product Development Coordinator to support the design and development of furniture and home décor products from concept through production.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys working in CAD daily and wants to be closely involved in bringing physical products to life. You will work across design, sales, and manufacturing teams, including frequent collaboration with vendors, to develop, refine, and deliver production-ready products.
Responsibilities:
• Create detailed 3D models and technical drawings in SolidWorks for new and existing products
• Translate design concepts into manufacturable specifications, including materials, dimensions, and finishes
• Coordinate development from initial concept through prototyping, testing, and final production approval
• Review and evaluate prototypes and samples, adjusting to improve design, function, and cost
• Support packaging development and improvements for shipping and durability
• Ensure all drawings, specifications, and documentation are accurate and production-ready
• Supervise all product and packaging testing required
• Meeting Via Zoom with US office and China office regularly.
Reports to: US Headquarters, San Francisco office.
Yêu cầu
• 2-4 years of experience in product development, drafting, or industrial design
• Strong proficiency in CAD Design Software (SolidWorks)
• Experience working with physical products, ideally in furniture or home décor categories
• Knowledge of materials and construction methods, including: Wood, Metal, Glass, and hardware)
• Familiarity with prototyping processes, including CNC and 3D printing
• Strong attention to detail and ability to problem-solve through design and engineering challenges
• Comfortable working with overseas vendors and cross-functional teams
• English is fluent in speaking and writing are preferred.
