Job Description
Our client is a foreign-invested manufacturing company, now looking for a Production Engineering Manager (Electronics/ Mechanical, $5,000, ID 21635):
Leadership & Team Development
Provide operational guidance, technical coaching, and professional development for the plant engineering team.
Cultivate an operational culture centered around engineering precision, shop-floor safety, and continuous learning.
Process Engineering & Operational Optimization
Establish, evaluate, and refine manufacturing protocols, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and operational workflows.
Systematically address operational bottlenecks, drive scrap reduction, and execute lean initiatives to maximize throughput and lower manufacturing costs.
Cross-Functional Alignment & New Product Introduction (NPI)
Collaborate with cross-functional teams-such as R&D, Quality Control, Sourcing, and Production Planning-to transition new products, sub-assemblies, and mechanical parts into mass production.
Conduct technical evaluations to ensure Design for Manufacturability (DFM) compliance.
Automation Integration & Machinery Management
Direct the evaluation, commissioning, and operational tuning of industrial machinery, specialized tooling, and automated production systems.
Engage with external machinery vendors and technology partners to source advanced capital equipment aligned with factory requirements.
Data Analytics, Metrics & Technical Troubleshooting
Track and evaluate core plant engineering indicators (KPIs, yield rates, line efficiency) to proactively detect operational deviations.
Lead technical troubleshooting initiatives to eliminate complex manufacturing issues and execute sustainable root-cause corrective measures.
Fiscal Control & Compliance Management
Develop, execute, and monitor the annual Production Engineering operating budget, ensuring resource allocation and financial discipline.
Maintain strict adherence to plant safety regulations, environmental legislation, and quality frameworks (ISO standards).
Requirement
Bachelor's Degree or Engineering Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline.
Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience within Production or Manufacturing Engineering environments specializing in mechanical machinery, fabrication, or industrial electronics.
At least 2 years in a direct managerial role leading technical teams and supervisory personnel.
Solid understanding of mechanical assembly lines, machining operations, fabrication techniques, and automated industrial equipment.
Proven track record in engineering project management, with the ability to run multiple concurrent projects within defined timelines and financial limits.
Sound knowledge of ISO quality systems, safety guidelines, and factory compliance protocols.
Strong analytical capabilities utilizing operational metrics to drive continuous process improvements.
Leadership presence with the capability to inspire, mentor, and guide multidisciplinary technical teams.
Problem-solving agility and decision-making skills suited for fast-paced factory operations.
Strong communication skills for internal stakeholder management and external supplier discussions.
Advanced fluency in English (verbal and written).
Monday - Friday work schedule (Saturdays & Sundays OFF).
Provided shuttle transport.
