Production Manager / Assistant Manager

Job Purpose:
To support the Production Manager in overseeing daily manufacturing operations, ensuring efficient workflow, quality output, and strict adherence to safety, labor regulations, and production targets. This role is critical in bridging operational execution between our Vietnam site and sister factories in China.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Production Oversight & Process Management:
- Supervise key production stages: SMT (Surface Mount Technology), Manual Insertion, Assembly, and Box Build.
- Monitor line efficiency, throughput, and quality metrics.
- Assist in planning daily/weekly production schedules to meet targets.
2. Workforce Coordination:
- Manage worker assignment to optimize productivity and balance workloads across shifts.
- Coordinate on-the-job training for operators and line leaders to ensure skill development and process adherence.
- Support in resolving daily staffing and personnel issues on the production floor.
3. Compliance & Safety:
- Ensure all operations comply with Vietnam Labor Law (working hours, contracts, regulations).
- Enforce basic manufacturing requirements (IPC standards, quality procedures, ESD, coating room procedure).
- Maintain and promote a strong safety culture - conduct checks, ensure PPE usage, and report incidents promptly.
4. Problem-Solving & Continuous Improvement:
- Address real-time production issues (machine stoppages, material shortages, quality deviations).
- Collaborate with engineering and quality teams for root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Suggest improvements in methods, layouts, or workflows to reduce waste and enhance efficiency.
5. Cross-Factory Coordination:
- Liaise with sister factories in China for best practice sharing, material support, or capacity balancing.
- Communicate regularly with Finance on production reports, KPIs, and operational updates.
