Production Team Leader - Electrical Assembly

I. GENERAL INFORMATION
1. Job Title: Production Team Leader (Electrical Assembly)
2. Report to: Process Engineer
3. Working Location: Phu My 3 Specialized Industrial Park, Ba Ria & Vung Tau Province, Vietnam (Shuttle bus will be provided from Vung Tau City)
II. SUMMARY OF THE ROLE
- The Electrical Team Leader is responsible for managing electrical and electronic assembly, ensuring smooth production flow, quality compliance, and efficiency.
- This role leads a team of operators while ensuring ERP compliance, proper work order execution, and alignment with production planning.
- The position requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and collaboration with planners, quality assurance, maintenance, and procurement teams to achieve on-time delivery (OTD) and production targets.
III. TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES
Main Responsibilities:
Team Leadership & People Management
1. Lead, supervise, and develop technicians/operators to achieve daily production targets.
2. Plan and allocate manpower based on production priorities and workload requirements.
3. Monitor team performance, attendance, discipline, and competency development.
4. Conduct daily pass-down meetings, communicate priorities, and drive issue resolution.
5. Coach and train team members on production processes, ERP transactions, quality requirements, and safety practices.
6. Foster a positive working environment, teamwork culture, and continuous improvement mindset.
Production Operations & Process Management
1. Ensure daily production activities are executed according to production plans, schedules, and customer requirements.
2. Monitor production performance, identify bottlenecks, and coordinate resources to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
3. Ensure ERP work orders and production transactions are completed accurately and on time.
4. Coordinate with Planning, Warehouse, Engineering, and Quality teams to resolve operational issues and maintain production flow.
5. Review production status, track KPIs, and provide daily production updates to management.
6. Support process optimization, productivity improvement initiatives, and Lean Manufacturing activities.
7. Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Electrical Process Engineer.
Quality, Safety & Compliance
1. Ensure compliance with company quality standards, procedures, and work instructions.
2. Drive a strong safety culture and ensure all team members follow safety regulations and requirements.
3. Support investigation of quality issues, implement corrective/preventive actions, and prevent recurrence.
4. Ensure workplace organization through 5S practices and maintain a safe, clean, and efficient production environment.
5. Participate in audits, inspections, and continuous improvement activities related to quality, safety, and operational excellence.
