The Project Expert advises and supports financial institutions and banking partners on selected banking and financial sector topics, while also coordinating the planning, implementation and reporting of related activities. Regular business travel within the country and occasional travel abroad is required.
The position combines practical banking expertise with project management responsibilities. A key focus is to work directly with project partners, provide topic-based consultation, identify partner needs and support relevant capacity-building activities. These responsibilities are complemented by partner acquisition, research, monitoring and communication, all contributing to DSIK's broader objectives in financial inclusion and financial sector development.
The assignment is scheduled to begin in September 2026 and is initially set to end on September 30th, 2027, with a possibility to extend.
What you bring to the table:
University degree - in banking, economics, finance, development studies, or related fields.
Relevant professional experience in banking and project management - Experience in banks or financial institutions with strong understanding of banking operations, and the financial sector. Previous experience in capacity development, training, or cooperation with academia, is highly preferred.
Business Fluency in English and Vietnamese - Additional language skills, particularly in German would be a strong asset.
Ability to work independently - organizational and networking skills, ability to work in a team, experience in project acquisition and international environments.
Using Microsoft 365 in a confident manner.
