Project Manager

The Project Manager is responsible for leading end-to-end delivery of complex industrial projects involving multiple large-scale machines combined into an integrated manufacturing or production line.
This role works from the earliest sales stage through installation, commissioning, and handover, ensuring technical feasibility, commercial clarity, risk control, and on-time delivery.
The Project Manager acts as the technical-commercial bridge between Sales, Engineering, Suppliers, and Customers, providing early-stage advisory to reduce downstream risks and ensure successful project execution.
Job Duties
PRIMARY
Pre-Sales & Project Initiation Support
- Work closely with Sales from the early customer engagement stage to:
• Understand customer requirements, production goals, and constraints
• Review proposed machine configurations and system architecture
• Advise on technical feasibility, integration risks, layout considerations, and timelines
- Support Sales in:
• Defining project scope, assumptions, and exclusions
• Identifying potential risks related to installation, interfaces, utilities, and site readiness
- Participate in customer meetings, site visits, and technical discussions as required
Project Planning & Execution
- Take full ownership of assigned projects from order handover to final acceptance
- Develop and manage:
a. Project schedules, milestones, and critical paths
b. Resource planning (internal teams, vendors, subcontractors)
c. Budget tracking and cost control
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including:
a. Sales, Engineering, Service/Installation teams
b. External suppliers, OEMs, and system integrators
- Ensure alignment between machine delivery, site readiness, installation, and commissioning
Technical & Integration Oversight
- Oversee the integration of multiple industrial machines into a complete product line, ensuring:
• Mechanical, electrical, automation, and software compatibility
• Compliance with project specifications and performance requirements
- Review technical documentation, layouts, and interface definitions
- Identify and manage technical risks related to:
• Installation sequencing
• Space constraints, utilities, foundations, and safety
• Interdependencies between machines and subsystems
Risk Management & Issue Resolution
- Proactively identify project risks across technical, schedule, cost, and safety dimensions
- Define mitigation plans and escalation paths
- Lead problem-solving discussions when issues arise during installation or commissioning
- Manage change requests and assess impact on scope, timeline, and cost
Customer & Stakeholder Management
- Act as the primary project point of contact for customers after order confirmation
- Maintain clear and professional communication with customers regarding:
a. Project progress
b. Risks, changes, and mitigation plans
- Ensure expectations are managed consistently from sales through delivery
- Support final acceptance, handover, and project closure
SECONDARY
