Duties and responsibilities:
- Maintains regular communication with
project managers to ensure clarity on project requirements and client expectations.
- Review client requirements, specifications, and standards, and develop engineering design documents to a project-ready level complying with above written.
- Collaborate with colleagues to discuss technical matters and resolve project-related issues.
- Prepare, review, and maintain engineering documents such as but not limited to drawings, P&IDs, layouts, datasheets, procedures, installation manuals, and calibration/testing reports, ensuring accuracy and technical quality.
- Deliver engineering documentation within agreed deadlines.
- Follow the engineering scope through all stages, from to final as-built documentation.
- Ensure all designs comply with Firenor's engineering standards and relevant regulations, including NORSOK, ISO, EN, DNV, NFPA, etc., and project-specific requirements.
- Bachelor's degree (minimum) or Master's degree (preferred) in Mechanical, Technical safety or Process Engineering.
- At least 6 years of relevant engineering experience in the EPC, offshore, maritime, or industrial sectors, in firefighting systems.....
- Understanding of Firefighting systems
- Ability to read and understand to produce P&IDs, GAs, Datasheets, etc.
- Piping knowledge.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Solid understanding of mechanical engineering, hydraulics and systems design
- Basic understanding of instrumentation principles
- Working knowledge of engineering processes, documentation control, and QA/HSE requirements
- Understanding of project execution phases (engineering, procurement, FAT, commissioning)
- Understanding of relevant standards (NORSOK, ISO, DNV, NFPA, etc)
- Advanced English proficiency (both written and vocal).
- Strong competence in fire system design and integration with mechanical interfaces (preferred)
- Strong capability in technical calculations and system design validation (preferred)
- Proficient in Pipenet (preferred)
- Independent, proactive, collaborative, and solution-oriented.
