Project Planning Engineer (Primavera P6, Project Reporting, Transportation)

SYSTRA is the Lead Consultant for the HSR project between Ho Chi Minh city and Can Gio. It is a 48.5 km high speed urban railway linking Ben Thanh (city center) to Can Gio, designed for rapid, reliable, and electrified intercity urban connectivity by 2028.
The Planning & Reporting Engineer will be accountable for planning analytics and project reporting-weekly summaries and the Monthly Project Report-ensuring consistency with the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) operated by the Lead. The role does not issue entitlement/EOT opinions or lead risk assessments.
Main duties:
• Support maintenance of the IMS in Primavera P6 (data checks, coding/calendars); prepare 2 week/30 day/90 day look ahead extracts.
• Track progress vs baseline and recovery plans; run basic critical path/float checks under the Lead's supervision; prepare schedule evidence packs for TIA led by Contract/Claims.
• Compile and publish the Weekly Summary and Monthly Project Report (milestones, progress curves, SPI/CPI style indicators, approved change/contingency, payments and forecasts).
• Build/maintain dashboards (Excel/Power BI) with traceability to P6 snapshots and source registers; manage reporting calendar/templates; ensure EDMS publication.
• Consolidate inputs from packages, Systems Integration, T&C, Procurement and Finance; include only approved change/claim and risk statuses provided by Contract/Claims and Risk.
• Document assumptions and data quality notes per reporting cycle.
Core deliverables
• Weekly Summary and Monthly Project Report (full compilation and EDMS publication).
• Dashboard set aligned to the IMS and PMO indicators (milestones, progress, SPI/CPI, change/contingency, payments, forecast).
• Reporting calendar, templates, and P6 to reporting reconciliation notes.
Interfaces and collaboration
• Daily with the Cost Control & Planning Lead and the Planning & Cost Control Engineer.
• Coordination with Package Managers, Systems Integration, Construction Supervision, Procurement and Finance; with Contract/Claims (approved change/claim status); with Risk Manager (approved risk exposure).
• Coordination with Finance, Procurement, legal and Package Managers
Success measures (KPIs)
• On time, complete and error free Weekly/Monthly reports and dashboards.
• Consistency between IMS and reported indicators; minimal rework.
• Timely consolidation of inputs; stakeholder satisfaction with clarity and usability.
• Robust EDMS traceability and data quality scores.

• Location: On site within the integrated project team (Hanoi / Ho Chi Minh City)
