As a QC Engineer on the TrueID product, you will be responsible for the quality of its eKYC flows (document OCR, Enroll, face authentication/liveness) across both manual and automation testing, including API automation and testing of the AI/models used by TrueID.
Manual Testing
Study requirements (requirement docs/PRDs), analyze and clarify use cases and edge cases for each TrueID eKYC business flow (ID/passport capture & OCR, Enroll, Face Authentication).
Design test cases, test plans, and test scenarios for new features and regression testing of the TrueID SDK/app.
Execute manual testing on Mobile (Android/iOS)/Web/API, log and track bugs through to fix and verification.
Test integration of the TrueID SDK into partner/demo apps; troubleshoot and verify build issues and app signing (APK/IPA signing).
Estimate QA effort/workload for each feature and sprint.
Write and maintain test documentation (test cases, checklists, testing guides) for the SDK and integration guides.
Automation Testing
Build and maintain the automation test suite for TrueID's eKYC backend APIs (document upload/OCR, enroll, verify, callback) - functional, contract, and regression - using Postman/Newman, RestAssured, Playwright API, or equivalent.
Build UI automation tests (Web demo app/partner app) using frameworks such as Cypress, Selenium, or Playwright.
Integrate automation tests into the CI/CD pipeline (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, ETC.).
Propose and improve the automation strategy (test pyramid, automation prioritization, data-driven testing) suited to the eKYC product.
Testing TrueID's AI/Models
Design test cases to evaluate the accuracy of OCR (data extraction from ID cards/passports), face matching, and liveness detection (anti-spoofing).
Test stability and edge cases as the model processes diverse inputs: lighting, capture angle, image quality, document type, device, and spoofing scenarios (printed photos, video replay, masks, ETC.).
Work with the Product/AI team to build evaluation criteria (accuracy, false accept/reject rate) for model quality.
Reporting & Collaboration
Produce test reports (test reports, test summary reports) for each sprint/release.
Track and report quality metrics (bug density, test coverage, pass rate, model accuracy, ETC.).
Collaborate closely with
Developers, BAs, and
Product Owners throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
At least 2 years of experience in manual QA/QC, including hands-on experience implementing automation testing.
Solid understanding of the software testing process: test plans, test cases, test execution, bug tracking, test reports.
Experience testing Mobile apps/SDKs (Android/iOS); familiarity with the build and app signing process (APK/IPA signing) is a strong plus.
Experience with API automation testing: understanding of REST/HTTP, JSON, and how to design automated tests for APIs (functional, negative cases, basic performance).
Proficient in at least one automation tool/platform, e.g., Cypress, Selenium WebDriver, Playwright, Postman/Newman, RestAssured, Katalon.
Basic understanding of CI/CD and integrating automation tests into a pipeline.
Able to use AI tools (ChatGPT, Copilot, Claude, ETC.) to support the work: writing/optimizing test cases, generating test data, writing automation scripts, and analyzing logs/bugs faster.
Able to write clear, well-structured test reports and QA documentation.
