The Career Opportunity
Want to work for a Singapore-based Tech Company? We are looking for a QC Engineer with 2 years of experience to join our growing team and help drive product quality as we scale.
The QC Engineer plays a key role in ensuring the stability and performance of our ERP and SaaS-based web applications. You will work closely with the BA, Developers, and Product teams to test and validate system functionalities, identify bugs, and contribute to continuous quality improvements.
Your Responsibilities:
- Test Planning and Execution:
- Review requirements, user stories, and designs to develop test plans and detailed test cases.
- Execute manual functional, integration, regression, and exploratory tests across web and mobile applications.
- Perform API testing using Postman or similar tools.
- Defect Management:
- Identify, log, and track defects using Jira with clear steps to reproduce and supporting evidence.
- Work closely with developers to reproduce, analyse, and verify fixes.
- Automation and Tools:
- Knowledge or hands-on with test automation frameworks (e.g., Playwright, Cypress).
- Execute automated test scripts if available and report results.
- Technical Understanding:
- Understanding of frontend and backend structures (API endpoints, database interactions).
- Ability to interpret logs and identify potential issues related to the FE or BE.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate with BAs and Developers to clarify requirements and ensure test coverage.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Communicate testing progress, issues, and risks to the team.
- Documentation:
- Maintain test case repositories and ensure test cases are up-to-date with product changes.
- Document test results and prepare test summary reports for releases.
Your Skills and Experience
- At least 2 years of experience in software testing for web and/or mobile applications.
- Experience in creating clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and familiarity with Jira/Confluence.
- Understanding of API testing (using tools like Postman).
- Familiar with using SQL to verify data in databases is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
- Ability to work independently and within a team, with a problem-solving mindset.
- Good communication skills in English (verbal and written).
- Experience with test automation is a plus but not mandatory.
