Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership:
Lead, mentor, and guide a team of testers to achieve project objectives.
Facilitate knowledge sharing, skill development, and collaboration within the QA team.
Define quality goals and drive the testing roadmap for ongoing and upcoming projects.
Test Strategy and Planning:
Design comprehensive test strategies that cover functional, integration, system, and regression testing.
Create detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts to validate software functionality.
Collaborate with stakeholders to define test requirements, identify risks, and establish acceptance criteria.
Automation Testing:
Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or similar frameworks.
Implement and manage test automation frameworks to ensure scalability and reusability.
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing.
API Testing:
Test RESTful and GraphQL APIs using tools like Postman, RestAssured, or equivalent.
Validate API functionality, response codes, payload structures, and edge cases.
Automate API testing using scripting or programming languages (e.g., JavaScript, Python, or Java).
Manual Testing Expertise:
Perform exploratory, usability, and edge-case testing to identify defects not covered by automated scripts.
Test user interfaces for responsiveness, compatibility, and overall experience across devices and browsers.
Database Validation:
Write and execute complex SQL queries to verify data integrity, relationships, and back-end processing.
Ensure data accuracy and consistency across database operations.
Defect Management:
Track, report, and manage defects using tools like Jira, Bugzilla, or similar.
Perform root cause analysis for defects and work closely with
developers to resolve issues promptly.
Version Control and Collaboration:
Manage test scripts, data, and configurations using Git or similar version control systems.
Actively participate in code reviews for test scripts and contribute to testing framework enhancements.
