Quality Inspector

* Purpose of Position
• To inspect products ensuring HNI product specification and quality requirement are met before shipment;
• To feedback the actual product quality condition to Quality Engineer (QE) or other team members;
• To support QE and other team members on continuous supplier quality improvement
* Major Challenge
• Need to work at supplier sites independently. QC needs quality inspection and product knowledge
• Need to travel frequently to different supplier locations to perform quality work;
• Need good trouble shooting skill to report issue correctly to QE or other team;
• Good communication skill, work independently, and have passion for work, integrity and high sense of responsibility.
* Major Responsibility
1. Follow arranged schedule to carry out on-site inspection for HNI products at Vietnam supplier factory and across the Southeast Asian supply base;

2. Inspect and verify the function & dimension & appearance of the product;
检验和确认产品功能,规格,外观等
3. On-site reliability test of product, such as Pencil hardness test & X-cut tape test;
现场产品可靠性测试,例如使用铅笔法硬度计测试和附着力(百格)测试
4. Verify packing and label content and location;
确认包装和标签内容及位置
5. Fill in the Product Inspection Report (PIR) and get supplier signature also, then take picture of the report and send it back on time;
填写检验报告(PIR)并得到厂商签名确认,然后附上现场拍照在报告上,及时通过邮件反馈回品质保证部门
6. Follow the Non-conformance Products procedure when there is reject issue happened;
有不合格产品出现,按照不合格产品流程处理
7. Join in the supplier IPQC process on special case;
参与厂商特殊案例的制程检验流程
8. Join in the training and education to supplier on their process improvement for assigned projects;
参与培训和辅导厂商指定流程改善专案
9. Trouble shoot the issue & defects which happened at supplier correctly and on time;
及时发现厂商不良品问题根源及查找缺陷发生原因
10. Co work with Quality Engineer (QE) on supplier quality control & continuous process improvement;
与品质工程师合作进行厂商品质管控与持续流程改善
11. Keep good communication and coordination at supplier site;
保持与厂商方良好沟通与合作
12. Keep close relationship with QE, and support QE when there is no inspection task assigned;
与品质工程师保持密切关系, 协助品质工程师检验任务安排
13. Complete other task assigned by direct supervisor.
