Quality Technologist (Non Food)

Key Responsibilities:
Assurance of quality requirements for purchased products in compliance with company standards:
• Coordinate and manage quality aspects for assigned projects including:
• Participating and supporting in the supplier selection during sourcing process.
• Collecting, verifying, and clearly communicating order-related quality requirements to suppliers.
• Organizing and performing preliminary factory assessments for potential suppliers.
• Collecting, verifying and internally sharing technical documentation provided by suppliers.
• Participating in product selection by organizing product testing as needed.
• Coordinating supplier technical assessments, by arranging third party audits, executing on-site quality assessments as needed, and following-up on corrective actions.
• Arrange monitoring operations for confirmed orders including:
• Arranging pre-shipment goods inspections and tests with selected external service providers. Providing support to 3rd parties during operations as needed.
• Collecting/evaluating reports and coordinating the release of the goods.
• Agreeing with suppliers and monitoring corrective actions to improve quality of the finished goods when necessary.
• Maintaining day-to-day supplier and service provider relationship and efficient communication flow during the order processing by discussing and tackling issues as necessary.
• Actively maintain RFE Database by updating relevant matrix and saving/reorganizing information according to agreed procedures.
• Supporting the REWE German Quality Division by:
• Defining product specifications and quality assurance measures (e.g. pre-shipment inspections checklists, testing protocols).
• Actively supporting in investigating and closing complaints and issues with suppliers.
• Supporting RFE Merchandise Department in all quality related topics, including suppliers' assessments, production supervision and complaint management.
• Supporting the Division Manager Quality in meeting relevant Dept. KPIs and in delivering specific quality-related projects as assigned.
