Quantum Network Protocol Development Engineer
to join the
VIST.
Viettel Institute of Strategic Industrial Technology (VIST) is the strategic R&D nucleus of Viettel Group - Vietnam's most powerful military-technology conglomerate.
The Quantum Center, under the Viettel Institute for Strategic Technologies (VIST), is part of Viettel Group's strategic technology research ecosystem. The center is developing advanced FPGA-based systems for quantum electronics, one of Viettel's key strategic research areas supporting next-generation technologies and defense industry innovation.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Design, develop, and optimize software components for cryptography and system security.
Integrate symmetric and asymmetric encryption algorithms, hash functions, digital signatures, and authentication mechanisms.
Develop applications using cryptographic algorithms such as AES, RSA, ECC, SHA-2/SHA-3, HMAC, ECDSA, EdDSA, and related technologies.
Implement and customize secure communication protocols, including TLS and SSH, as well as key exchange, key derivation, and key management mechanisms.
Research and implement post-quantum cryptographic algorithms, such as ML-KEM and ML-DSA.
Use cryptographic libraries such as OpenSSL, mbedTLS, or equivalent libraries in Rust, Golang, and other systems programming environments.
Develop software for Linux, Windows, macOS, and embedded operating systems.
Integrate security hardware components such as TPM, Secure Element, and HSMs.
Analyze security requirements, assess system architectures, and propose effective security solutions.
Develop unit tests, integration tests, interoperability tests, and technical documentation.
Collaborate closely with hardware, system, and testing teams to integrate and validate products.
APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree (Good or above) in Computer Science, Information Security, Computer Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
Proficiency in at least one systems programming language: C, C++, Rust, or Golang.
Experience developing, debugging, and optimizing applications on Linux.
Strong understanding of symmetric and asymmetric cryptography, hash functions, MACs, digital signatures, and key exchange mechanisms.
Knowledge of widely used cryptographic algorithms, such as AES, RSA, ECC, SHA-2/SHA-3, and HMAC.
Understanding of TLS, SSH, Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), digital certificates, and cryptographic key lifecycle management.
Minimum 2 years of experience in software development.
English proficiency equivalent to TOEIC 650 or above.
Ability to read and understand technical documentation in English.
PREFERRED
:
Experience with Embedded Linux, Yocto, or Buildroot.
Knowledge of FIPS 140-3 requirements or equivalent cryptographic module standards.
Experience with threat modeling, attack surface analysis, and secure system architecture.
Understanding of side-channel attacks, constant-time programming, and secure handling of sensitive data in memory.
Experience in source code review, security testing, or developing products that comply with security standards
