A Brief Overview
Execute numerical analysis and finite element modeling to evaluate structural component and system performance under various loading conditions. Perform linear and nonlinear FEA using implicit and explicit analysis methods, develop and refine computational models, and interpret simulation results to support structural design and engineering decisions. Support physical testing and validation activities, as well as advanced and complex simulation tasks, with guidance and support from senior engineers.
What You Will Do:
Responsibilities:
• Execute finite element analyses (FEA), including linear and nonlinear analyses using implicit and explicit solution methods, to evaluate structural behavior and integrity under static and dynamic loading scenarios, while supporting advanced and complex simulations with guidance from senior engineers.
• Develop, refine, and troubleshoot computational models, geometry pre-processing workflows, and material property definitions using industry-standard FEA software (such as LS-DYNA or Abaqus), with a focus on structural and mechanical behavior.
• Maintain organized documentation of models, assumptions, methodologies, and results to support knowledge transfer and repeatability across the team.
• Support physical testing activities to validate FEA simulation results, investigate discrepancies, and enhance model reliability and predictive capability.
• Draft technical reports and present and discuss simulation results and engineering findings under supervision.
• Occasionally support literature surveys, research studies, and technology development and innovation initiatives related to structural analysis, computational mechanics, and simulation.
Yêu cầu
Qualifications
• Bachelors in Engineering required. MSc is preferred.
• 2+ years relevant componential mechanics experience; MSc may count for up to 1 year of experience if directly relevant. Equivalent combination of experience and education which clearly indicates the ability to perform the essential functions of the position may substitute on a year for year basis
• EIT is preferred

• 5% Minimal travel to training, conferences, customers or other industry partners.
Physical Demands
This role is performed in an office environment where a computer, telephone and other office equipment are used as needed to perform the duties of the role. This role may need to access areas within the building that are undergoing renovations which may contain jobsite hazards. Occasionally this role will required to push, pull, bend, lift and move up to 25 lbs.
