The Role
We are looking for a Senior .NET API
Developer to join a team responsible for the development and maintenance of the integration layer - API endpoints and supporting services that enable the new data platform. This is a hands-on role requiring close collaboration with integration architects, data engineers, and teams responsible for ETL processes and system migrations.
Background
The client operates in the insurance and financial services domain, delivering projects related to large-scale data processing and integration of partner systems. The organization is undergoing a technology transformation, focused on modernizing an existing .NET-based data processing environment into a modern, scalable, cloud-based data architecture. A key element of the ecosystem consists of transactional systems and integration platforms, which communicate through extensive APIs.
Responsibilities
- Design, development, and maintenance of REST APIs and integration services in .NET Implementation of endpoints used to integrate the data platform with upstream and downstream systems
- Collaboration on migrating processes from a legacy .NET environment to a new data architecture
- Development of services supporting ingestion, enrichment, routing, and outbound integrations
- Ensuring code quality (readability, testability, performance, and security)
- Working with the team in an agile delivery model (backlog management, planning, reviews)
- Participation in solution design and proposing technical improvements
- Working in an environment supported by AI-assisted development (automation, code reviews, boilerplate generation)
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a .NET Developer
- Very good knowledge of C# and .NET / .NET Core
- Experience in designing and implementing RESTful APIs Practical knowledge of system integrations (APIs, synchronous/asynchronous communication)
- Experience working with databases (SQL) Knowledge of API performance, security, and scalability concepts Experience working with Git and CI/CD pipelines
- Ability to work in a cloud environment (Azure is a plus)
- English at a minimum B2+ level - international working environment
Preferred skills (Nice-to-Haves)
- Experience in data processing / ETL / data integration projects
- Knowledge of microservices-based architectures
- Experience collaborating with data engineering teams
- Openness to working with AI-supported tools in the software development lifecycle
