**The Senior Accountant**
The Senior Accountant will play a critical role in the group's financial reporting function, primarily responsible for the accurate conversion of financial statements from Vietnam Accounting Standards (VAS) to Thai Financial Reporting Standards (TFRS). This role involves managing complex consolidations for Laos entity, ensuring rigorous compliance with internal and external audit standards, and supporting the
Accounting Manager in developing robust accounting policies. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between local statutory requirements and Group level reporting expectations.
### Key Responsibilities
**Financial Reporting & Conversion**
• Lead the process of converting financial statements from VAS to TFRS for Group reporting.
• Review all VAS based transactions and prepare necessary adjustment entries to ensure alignment with Group accounting principles.
**Financial Consolidation**
• Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidation of financial statements for the child entity located in Laos, ensuring intercompany reconciliations and foreign currency translations are handled accurately.
**Audit Coordination**
• Serve as the primary liaison for external and internal auditors.
• Proactively resolve audit queries and facilitate the timely completion of audit reports by coordinating with the wider accounting team.
**Policy & Procedure Development**
• Assist the Accounting Manager in drafting and implementing accounting policies and procedures.
• Ensure all frameworks comply with Group Accounting Policy, Internal Audit mandates, VAS, and IFRS.
**Compliance & Internal Control**
• Review and monitor accounting operations to ensure adherence to established internal controls.
• Follow up on tax related matters, ensuring all filings and reconciliations are accurate and submitted on time.
**Operational Oversight**
• Review general ledger activities and provide guidance to Accounting team member to ensure data integrity and compliance with statutory requirements.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is advantage.
• Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in Accounting/Auditing, with at least 2 years in a senior-level role involving financial reporting or consolidation.
• Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of VAS and IFRS. Experience with IFRS is highly desirable.
• Systems: Excel skills and accounting/ERP software
