ABOUT THE COMPANY:
Crossian is an AI-First Organization on a mission to strengthen our cross-border Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) e-commerce model. Founded in 2020, we have grown at a cumulative average rate of over 1,000% in 6 years, and behind that growth are our people.
As our Accountant, you'll go beyond routine bookkeeping. You'll handle USD revenue and VND operations across multiple sales channels and payment gateways, and keep books under VAS while supporting US GAAP reporting. It's hands-on experience with both standards that few accounting roles in Vietnam can offer.
Tech, data and AI sit at the core of how we work. You'll have the tools and the ownership to automate manual tasks, speed up reconciliation and closing, and build a smarter way of doing accounting.
MORE ABOUT THE ROLE:
This role is for a resilient, detail-oriented accountant who stays calm under pressure and still brings sharp thinking to every accounting situation. You are a self-directed learner who thrives in our learning culture and picks up new systems and tools quickly. Above all, you take ownership and you are driven by efficiency.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Payment Operations: Track payments end-to-end (from request and approval to execution and recording), maintaining clean and up-to-date supporting schedules.
Cost Allocation: Accurately allocate spend to designated accounts and cost centers, applying allocation rules consistently across financial cycles.
Account Reconciliation: Reconcile assigned balance sheet and operational accounts, investigate variance, and clear open items prior to close.
Month-End Close: Prepare and post journal entries in accordance with VAS (and US GAAP under guidance), delivering quality deliverables on schedule.
Records & Audit Readiness: Maintain organized, comprehensive transaction documentation to ensure all records are complete, organized, and audit-ready.
Process Improvement: Identify operational bottlenecks in daily workflows and implement practical enhancements - such as standardized templates or automated trackers.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Experience Level: 3+ years of hands-on accounting or audit experience, with proven ownership of month-end close processes and the ability to operate independently.
Technical Foundation: Strong understanding of core accounting principles and VAS; working knowledge of US GAAP or IFRS is a strong advantage.
Tool Proficiency: Advanced Excel skills (advanced lookups, pivot tables, large dataset manipulation) and substantial prior exposure to ERP systems.
Attention to Detail: Meticulous precision; consistently catches discrepancies, balance mismatches, and data anomalies.
Communication: Professional English proficiency (written and verbal).
