KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
I. Project Leadership
• Lead the delivery of architectural projects from Concept Design through Construction Documentation and Construction Administration under the strategic direction of the Design Director.
• Develop project execution strategies, work plans and delivery methodologies to achieve project
objectives.
• Take overall responsibility for project performance, ensuring quality, schedule, budget and client
expectations are achieved.
• Establish project priorities, define milestones and monitor progress throughout all project phases.
• Anticipate project risks and proactively implement mitigation strategies.
• Ensure efficient coordination between design, technical and project management activities.
II. Design Leadership & Technical Oversight
• Lead and coordinate the architectural design process while maintaining the approved design intent
throughout all project stages.
• Review and approve architectural deliverables before submission to clients.
• Ensure all design solutions meet project objectives, applicable codes, technical standards and company quality procedures.
• Direct multidisciplinary coordination with structural, MEP, landscape and specialist consultants.
• Resolve complex technical and design issues throughout project development.
• Ensure consistency, constructability and coordination across all project documentation.
• Promote innovation, sustainability and design excellence within project teams.
III. Project Management
• Prepare and manage project execution plans, schedules, deliverables and resource allocation.
• Monitor project budgets, manpower utilization and design productivity.
• Manage project scope and identify potential variations or additional service requests.
• Coordinate internal and external project teams to ensure timely delivery.
• Monitor project financial performance together with the Design Director and Management Team.
• Ensure project documentation is properly maintained and archived.
• Lead project meetings and monitor action items until completion.
IV. Client & Stakeholder Management
• Act as the primary day-to-day contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle.
• Lead client presentations, design workshops and coordination meetings.
• Build and maintain strong professional relationships with clients, authorities, consultants and
contractors.
• Manage client expectations while balancing project objectives, technical requirements and commercial considerations.
• Support contract negotiations, scope clarifications and project variations where required.
• Represent the company in professional meetings and industry engagements when delegated.
V. Team Leadership
• Lead multidisciplinary project teams to deliver projects efficiently and collaboratively.
• Plan and allocate resources according to project priorities and workload.
• Delegate responsibilities appropriately while maintaining accountability for project outcomes.
• Mentor Associates, Senior Architects and Architects through regular coaching and technical guidance.
• Conduct regular project reviews to monitor performance, identify development opportunities and
improve team capability.
• Foster a collaborative, accountable and high-performance project culture.
VI. Quality Management
• Establish quality objectives and review procedures for each project.
• Conduct regular design and technical reviews throughout all project phases.
• Ensure compliance with company Quality Management Systems (QMS).
• Review project deliverables for completeness, accuracy, consistency and constructability.
• Promote continuous improvement of project workflows, BIM standards and documentation procedures.
• Capture lessons learned and implement best practices across future projects.
VII.
Business Development Support
• Support the Design Director in preparing project proposals, fee submissions and technical presentations.
• Assist in developing project methodologies, work scopes and resource estimates for new opportunities.
• Participate in interviews, competitions and business development activities when required.
• Identify opportunities for additional services and long-term client relationships.
• Contribute to strengthening the company's design reputation and market presence.
VIII. Professional Practice
• Demonstrate leadership, integrity and accountability in all project activities.
• Promote collaboration, knowledge sharing and professional development across the studio.
• Stay informed of emerging technologies, regulations and industry best practices.
• Contribute to improving company standards, design processes and project delivery methodologies.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Design Director or Management Team.
