As a Finance Transformation Consultant, you will play a critical role in helping organizations reimagine their finance functions to improve processes, enhance efficiency, and drive strategic value. You will work collaboratively with clients to design and implement innovative financial solutions, leveraging technology and industry best practices to transform their finance operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Client Engagement: Collaborate with clients to understand their financial objectives, challenges, and current processes. Foster strong partnerships to ensure successful project delivery and client satisfaction.
• Assessment & Analysis: Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' finance functions, identifying inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement. Analyze financial data and processes to inform transformation strategies.
• Strategy Development: Design and develop finance transformation strategies and roadmaps tailored to client needs, focusing on areas such as process optimization, technology integration, and organizational change management.
• Implementation Support: Lead or assist in the implementation of finance transformation initiatives, including enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, automation tools, and reporting solutions. Ensure alignment with clients' business goals and objectives.
• Change Management: Support change management efforts by developing training materials, facilitating workshops, and helping clients manage the transition to new processes and technologies.
• Performance Measurement: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to monitor the success of finance transformation initiatives, providing ongoing support to ensure sustained improvements.
• Thought Leadership: Stay current with industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in finance transformation. Contribute to the development of thought leadership materials (white papers, case studies) to share insights with clients and the broader community.
Typical scope of work
1. Financial performance review and recommendation
• Evaluate a business's financial performance.
• Conduct operational and financial analyses to find opportunities for reducing working capital, keeping in mind the business's needs.
• Review current processes and policies to provide practical recommendations.
• Develop action plans to address identified opportunities.
• Prepare client-ready reports.
• Assist in organizing and coordinating workshops and presentations for clients.
2. Debt / financial restructuring exercise
• Assist in developing financial models to support cash flow projections for debt repayment schedules.
• Help prepare marketing materials, such as information memorandums, teasers, and management presentations, to engage with financiers.
• Support the due diligence process by coordinating interactions between Debtor(s) and Financier(s).
• Participate in regular progress update meetings with clients.
• Reach out to financiers to introduce the project and assess their interest.
3. Treasury management review and optimization
• Evaluate the current state of a company's treasury management.
• Thoroughly understand existing processes and policies, identify inefficiencies, and benchmark against market best practices to highlight areas for improvement.
• Create a taxonomy for key company policies and processes.
• Provide recommendations for optimizing current operations, including potential changes to existing processes and policies.
• Investigate technology applications for treasury management to offer informed advice on future investments.

Qualifications and other requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CFA) is a plus.
• 3+ years of experience in finance transformation, financial consulting, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of finance processes, financial planning, and analysis (FP&A), and financial reporting.
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Workday) and financial software solutions; familiarity with robotics process automation (RPA) and data analytics tools is advantageous.
• English business writing skills and the ability to prepare professional PowerPoint reports.
• Familiar with data analytic tools such as Excel VBA, PowerBI, and Alteryx, etc.
