The Job
We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our team with the responsibilities:
- Evaluate various data architectures and utilize them to develop data solutions to meet business requirements.
- Deliver functionality required for business and data analysts, data scientists and other business roles to advance the overall analytic performance and strategy
- Build the best practices and strategies for data infrastructure to fulfill data analytic and utilization needs of the business with emerging latest technologies and capabilities.
- Proactively drive the effort of identifying opportunities to manage data and provide solutions for complex data feeds.
- Design, build, and maintain optimized data pipelines and ETL solutions as business support tools in providing analysis and real time analytics platform for critical decision making.
- Strategically obtain and integrate data and information from various sources into the firm's platforms, solutions and statistical models.
- Ensure data assets are organized and stored in an efficient way so that information is high quality, reliable, flexible, and efficient.
Your Skills and Experience
To be successful in this role you must have some of the following:
- Proficiency in a Data Warehouse capacity.
- Advanced knowledge of database/ querying.
- Comprehensive experience with DWH solution: Cloud/ On-premise.
- Familiarity with Star Schema, Tabular models, and Cubes.
- Experience with version control and project management tools such as Git, TFS, and Jira.
- A keen eye for detail and the ability to identify anomalies or issues.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities, capable of handling multiple tasks concurrently.
- Leadership qualities and excellent English communication skills, with proficiency in collaborating with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- A strong problem-solving mindset and a focus on solutions.
- Consistency in delivering tasks on schedule, within budget, and in adherence to quality standards.
- Experience in independently managing task scopes, timelines, and potential risks.
- Proficient communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying status updates and risks to a range of audiences, including technical and non-technical stakeholders.
