Lead the design and integration of electrical and control systems for electric forklifts, AGVs, and AMRs, including electrical architecture, wiring harnesses, controllers, sensors, and safety systems.
Key Responsibilities
• Design electrical schematics, control circuits, wiring harnesses, and electrical BOMs.
• Develop control systems for drive, steering, lifting, navigation, and safety functions.
• Integrate PLCs, motor controllers, CAN networks, sensors, and SICK safety devices.
• Review electrical drawings and support system validation and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with mechanical, software, testing teams, suppliers, and customers.
• Provide technical leadership and mentor junior engineers.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in
Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Automation, Mechatronics, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in forklifts, AGVs/AMRs, EVs, or industrial vehicle electrical design.
• Strong knowledge of:
o Electrical control circuits and relay logic
o PLC programming and automation systems
o Wiring harness design and Electrical BOM
o CAN/CANopen/J1939 communication
o 24V/48V/80V systems, EMC/EMI, IP protection, and reliability
• Experience with Siemens NX, CATIA, AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or similar tools.
• Good English communication skills ( using Japanese is a plus) .
Preferred
• Experience with SICK safety scanners, LiDAR, Functional Safety, ISO 3691-4, and ISO 13849.
• Experience leading technical projects or engineering teams.
