KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Lead the development and implementation of diagnostic and testing applications for Electronic Control Units (ECUs) and Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs)
• Serve as a critical link between
electrical engineering and embedded software development, with a strong focus on communication protocols, automation systems, and system integration for motorbikes and electric vehicles. The position directly supports production operations, ensures compliance with technical standards, and contributes to the successful launch
and maintenance of new vehicle platforms.
System & software development
• Develop and maintain diagnostic, flashing, and calibration tools for ECUs using C#, VB.NET, Visual Basic, or C/C++.
• Design, program, and maintain control software for automation systems (PLC, HMI, SCADA, robotics).
• Create and maintain scripts for data conversion, log analysis, and diagnostic response processing.
Communication & protocols
• Implement and troubleshoot communication protocols: CAN, UDS, LIN, UART, SPI, I2C, K-Line,
Modbus, Profibus, EtherCAT, OPC-UA.
• Analyze and manipulate data formats (binary, decimal, hexadecimal), including bitwise operations,
checksum validation, and frame decoding.
• Use tools such as CANalyzer, Wireshark, Logic Analyzer for signal simulation and analysis.
Diagnostics & testing
• Read and interpret ECU specifications (e.g., SDF, DTC tables, calibration specs).
• Support End-of-Line (EOL), HC, and CMD test systems in production.
• Automate test processes and ensure traceability, accuracy, and reliability of diagnostic systems.
Project & technical leadership
• Lead new product development projects: planning, technical requirement definition, process design, and cross-department coordination.
• Collaborate with international teams (e.g., R&D, T&M Italy) to align software tools and ECU interface requirements.
• Train relevant departments on new assembly methods, software tools, and product features.
Integration & support
• Read and design electrical diagrams and wiring layouts.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and IT teams for full system integration.
• Provide on-site support for troubleshooting, validation, and continuous improvement.
Innovation & research
• Research and apply emerging technologies: IoT, AI, Edge Computing, Cybersecurity, Industry 4.0.
• Ensure cybersecurity and access control in SCADA and PLC systems.
