Senior Engineer

MAIN TARGETS
The contribution of the Position to the success of the company consists in: ensuring stable, efficient, and high-quality production by providing hands on technical support on the shop floor. The role focuses on guiding machine operators, troubleshooting technical issues, maintaining accurate documentation, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. The position also collaborates with international departments and supports the localization of tools and suppliers.
MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Shop Floor & Technical Support
Be in contact with other engineering departments of the fischer group and act as a counterpart in terms of questions and implement best practices of other plants
Act as the main technical contact for machine operators.
Provide hands on troubleshooting for machine, tool, material, and process issues.
Perform regular floor walks to identify deviations and improvement needs.
Support pre-production and assembly with technical guidance.
Analyze quality deviations and propose corrective actions.
2. Documentation & Standardization
Create, update, and maintain Work Instructions, SOPs, setup sheets, and drawings.
Ensure all documents reflect current processes and are accessible to operators.
Support and guide colleagues on technical drawings and documentation requirements.
3. Process & Quality Improvement
Initiate or support improvement projects related to products, processes, or equipment.
Promote and transfer fPS (fischer Process System) know how within the team.
Evaluate and support localization of tools and qualify local tool suppliers.
Implement best practices and collaborate with engineering teams across the group.
4. Engineering & Compliance
Design and develop engineering solutions when needed.
Ensure compliance with company standards, regulations, and safety requirements.
Share process technology knowledge and train colleagues.
5. Decision Competencies
Approve and modify technical drawings.
Initiate product drawing changes.
Decide on tool orders, suppliers, tool stock levels, and oil usage.
