About the Role:
We are looking for a highly skilled Full Stack Engineer (5+ years' experience) to help build, scale, and maintain our platform across web, mobile, backend, and infrastructure layers. This is a hands-on, technical role for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, working across a modern TypeScript-based stack, and influencing architecture and engineering best practices.
You will own features end-to-end, collaborate closely with product and design, and play a key role in shaping the technical direction of the platform.
About TPF MberX
MberX is a sports and rewards platform built for AFL and NRL fans around Australia. There are three key pillars to the app, which include footy tipping, sports media and analytics, and rewards.
Being a footy fan is a bonus.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain features across web and mobile using [protected info] and Expo (React Native)
• Develop scalable backend services using [protected info] and TypeScript.
• Design and build GraphQL APIs for use across web and mobile clients.
• Work with SQL and NoSQL databases to design schemas, write efficient queries, and ensure data integrity.
• Integrate and maintain payment systems, including Square, Stripe, and PayPal.
• Write and maintain automated tests using Vitest/Jest to ensure code quality and reliability.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives) and contribute to sprint delivery.
• Build MVPs and iterate quickly based on user and stakeholder feedback.
• Apply accessibility best practices across web and mobile interfaces.
• Ensure code quality through reviews, testing, documentation, and best practices.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues across the stack and provide scalable solutions.
• Collaborate with product managers,
designers, and QA to deliver high-quality features.
Required Skills and Experience
• 5+ years of experience in
software engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with [protected info] and TypeScript
• Advanced experience with [protected info] for web applications and Expo (React Native) for mobile app development.
• Experience designing and consuming GraphQL APIs.
• Strong experience working with both SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Experience integrating payment systems such as Square, Stripe, or PayPal.
• Experience writing automated tests with Vitest or Jest.
• Experience working within Agile teams and ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives).
• Experience building MVPs and shipping quickly in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Excellent business English communication.
Nice to Have
• Understanding of accessibility controls and best practices.
• Familiarity with the Hero UI component library.
• Experience with Claude Code or other AI-assisted development tooling.
• Experience with 3D engines or game development.
