Mô tả công việc
A Senior Garment Product Development Designer plays a key role in bringing fashion concepts to life, from initial design through to production. This role requires a blend of creative, technical, and managerial skills.
Responsibilities
1. Design Development: Creating initial design concepts and developing them into fully realized garments. Sketching designs, selecting fabrics, and creating detailed technical specifications.
2. Prototype Development: Working with sample makers and pattern makers to develop prototypes and samples. Conducting fit sessions and making necessary adjustments.
3. Collaboration: Collaborating with cross-functional teams including marketing, production, and sales to ensure the designs meet brand standards and market needs.
4. Sourcing: Sourcing fabrics, trims, and other materials needed for garment production. Establishing and maintaining relationships with suppliers.
5. Quality Control: Ensuring that the final product meets quality standards and design specifications.
6. Documentation: Maintaining detailed records of design development, including sketches, technical specifications, and production notes.

2. Certifications: Additional certifications in garment construction, fashion illustration, or fashion marketing can be advantageous.
Experience
1. Work Experience: Several years of experience in garment design and product development, typically 5-10 years, with a proven track record of developing successful apparel collections.
2. Industry Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of fashion trends, garment construction techniques, fabric properties, and manufacturing processes.
Skills
1. Creative Skills: Strong design skills with the ability to create innovative and marketable garment designs. Proficiency in fashion illustration and sketching.
2. Technical Skills: Proficiency in using design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CAD programs.
3. Project Management: Strong project management skills to oversee the development process from concept to production, ensuring timelines and budgets are met.
4. Trend Analysis: Ability to conduct market research and trend analysis to inform design decisions and ensure the collection is in line with current fashion trends.
5. Communication Skills: Effective communication skills to collaborate with designers, pattern makers, production teams, and other stakeholders. Ability to present design concepts and development progress to management.
6. Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve issues related to design, fit, and production.
