RESPONSIBILITIES
• Continually evaluate, update, and manage unified VT leather & fabric inbound quality standards.
• Build an efficient workflow to process valid fabric/leather claims and to capture fabric/leather quality call outs from either the factory or VT QC.
• Coordinate the resolution of disputes between factories, mills/tanneries, and VT regarding fabric/leather quality with reference to the standards set.
• Be the customer facing contact point for fabric /leather quality topics and drive negotiations with the mills/tanneries to resolve disagreements on quality standards.
• Conduct trainings on inbound quality standards as required to factories and /or VT QC.
• Empowered to make the final call on accepting/rejecting fabric /leather.
• Collect, track and report on material claim value, % of total value in the reporting time period, break down by fabric type, description, defect type and by mill / tannery.
• Take the appropriate actions based on insights learned from quality data tracking.
• Implement optimized storing and handling methods for linens, velvets, and leather.
• Conduct regular spot checks to ensure factories are following the storage guidance.
