CTC Triangle (Hong Kong) Limited operates as a subsidiary of Canadian Tire Corporation Ltd., which is the largest retailer of hardlines in Canada, is now seeking a mature, experienced, progressive and enthusiastic individual in Merchandising to fill the following positions in the Representative Office in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
Sr Merchandiser/Merchandiser-Apparel
Merchandisers are the Category Specialists; Responsible for sourcing quality merchandise from appropriate vendors for assigned categories in supporting CTC Global Souring strategy and objectives. Focusing on multi product categories including casual and industrial, also an extended responsibility in fabric sourcing.
Responsibilities
• Understand, support, integrate & reinforce CTC Global Sourcing strategy and objectives.
• Vendor recruitment based on business requirements on different categories, and fty evaluation to support to establish the vendor matrix in South East Asia
• Provide sourcing expertise on vendor landscape, product knowledge as well as market intelligence for given categories
• Support and execute corporate policies, processes and programs.
• Negotiating the right costs, resolve issues and share supplier's market information.
• Follow up on orders and samples, ensuring timely receipt to deadline date, also identifying critical tasks leadtime in order to manage the critical path accordingly
• Enters and updates product and cost information within PLM system.
• Reviewing developments to support production schedules to meet delivery deadlines.
• Contacts suppliers to obtain order status and tracking information.
• Maintains purchase order records with updates for cost, delivery, etc.
• Work with the Buyer / Category Business Managers (CBM)/PMs on their trip to:-
o Arrange meetings with vendors
o Arrange hotel & transportation.
o Prior buying trip preparation on sample/cost/fty evaluation
o Prepare trip reports
o Assist at vendor meetings and finalization
o Follow up and execute per trip decisions.
• Communicate, explain & implement CTC's business requirements to vendors.
• Assist vendors in improving their performance through support in QA, market knowledge, customer understanding & CTC strategy.
• Collaborate with X-functional teams, i.e. quality team and supply chain teams etc. to assist vendors for issues and future improvement.
• Vendor management - align with PM/Buyer's / Category Business anager's (CBM) direction and growth opportunity to develop vendors to become CTC's key partner.
• Report and regularly update the Merchandise Manager on business/vendor developments.
• Engage, support, coach and develop of Assistant Merchandiser.
• Assist to build local supply chain based on company strategy
• Work actively on risk assessment from product development stage, and be proactive and initiatives to solve problems in production.
