- To play a critical part in ensuring that textiles elements within the growing range of products at Jazwares meet the required quality standards, customers specifications and regulatory requirements throughout development, production and supply chain processes.
- Support the business on the setting of fabric and material standards that align with the brand vision.
- To conduct risk assessment review on the new products based on PDS and provide recommendations to eliminate or control the risks.
- Together with the PD/PM team, to evaluate EP/FEP/PP physical samples and testing results, provide assessments, and offer technical recommendations to ensure product designs meet company requirements as well as industry standards for bedding products (Such as pillows/ pillowcase/ Throws & Blankets/ Comforter/ Duvet Insert/ Mattress Topper etc) and any new categories such as apparel.
- Collaborate with third-party laboratories (e.g., Intertek, SGS, BV) during the development stage to verify that new product designs (including material) meet the applicable standards.
- Prepare technical documentation during product development, such as Test Specifications (TS), Force Diagrams, and Inspection Specifications (IS) for QC to follow.
- To review and approve Final Engineering Pilot (FEP) samples in coordination with
Project Managers prior to mass production.
- Oversee pre-production (PP) reviews and conduct meetings with factories during PP production for new products.
- Work closely with factories, third-party labs and inspection service providers to develop CAPs by analyzing the failures when they occur.
- Upon receiving the customers/ consumers complaints, to lead the investigation to find out the root causes and transform the learning into new control measures to prevent the issues happening again.
- Perform factory and or mills capability and QMS audit as part of the new vendor selection process.
Conduct Quality Control/ system audits including sharp tool, mold preventive audits.
• University graduate.
• A holder of Bachelor's degree in Textile engineering, technology is preferred.
• At least 5 years of QE experience in textile or garment industry.
• Experience with toy industry is a plus.
• Familiar with major retailer's programs, such as Wal-mart; Costco; Target; etc.
• Good written and speaking English is essential. Chinese is advantage.
• Good decision making, people management and leadership skill.
• A good interpersonality with effective communication skills.
• Self-motivated, responsible, independent, hardworking, and able to work under high pressure.
