In this role you will design and develop enterprise-level web and mobile applications based on defined requirements, industry best practices, and project timelines. You will help shape our technical direction - recommending tools, testing strategies, and maintenance approaches - while working alongside fellow Senior Developers, the Dev Lead, the Manager, and the Architect to build a clean, maintainable application landscape.

Position Summary
This is a rare opportunity to work within a high-growth company and take ownership of development throughout the full project lifecycle. You will work closely with the wider Development team and interface daily with Quality Assurance, the Product Manager, and the
Business Analyst to ensure code is delivered on time and to a high standard - in line with our development principles and shared solutions.
You will bring a strong command of the LEMP Stack (Linux, Nginx, MySQL, PHP), complemented by solid experience in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, VueJS, and jQuery. You will also be comfortable with API integration, NodeJS, and CMS platforms, and have hands-on experience with unit testing and source control within an Agile SDLC.
Familiarity with cloud architecture on AWS - including ECS Fargate, EC2, and S3 - along with Bitbucket Pipelines, will set you up for success in this role.
Role & Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
1. Software Development
- Analyze, design, and develop responsive web with clean, well-structured code.
- Research emerging technologies and work across multiple web projects in collaboration with the team.
2. Process & Development Practices
- Follow established development processes and coding conventions, applying Agile/SCRUM disciplines.
- Break down detailed specifications and implement business requirements aligned to the needs of the company and its clients.
- Troubleshoot issues promptly within a highly scalable web environment.
- Contribute ideas that improve our processes and development practices.
3. Communication & Collaboration
- Take part in daily stand-ups with the dev team and weekly Agile/SCRUM meetings with the product team and business owner, ensuring all relevant information is shared and discussed.
- Support and coordinate effectively with fellow team members and our clients.
- 5+ years of commercial experience in the software development industry.
- Strong UI and web layout design skills, with deep experience in responsive design and cross-browser compatibility.
- Deep understanding of the LEMP Stack (Linux, Nginx, MySQL, PHP).
- Experience with Laravel 12+ and PHP 8.x.
- Experience with Docker (Laradock)
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, SASS/LESS, jQuery, and Bootstrap.
- Solid grasp of OOP and MVC principles in JavaScript, including the use of TypeScript.
- Experience with one or more of VueJS, ReactJS, or NodeJS.
- Strong skills working with Web APIs, XML, JSON, and YAML.
- Experience with Git or similar version control systems (Bitbucket, SVN...).
- Experience with caching, including Redis / ElastiCache Redis.
- Experience with Agile/SCRUM, Unit Testing, Continuous Integration & Delivery (Bitbucket Pipelines), Test-Driven Development, and Behavior-Driven Development.
- Experience with AI tooling for development (Claude Code, GPT, Gemini).
- Good communication in English.

- Experience with WordPress, and E-commerce platforms.
- Experience with Java, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, DynamoDB).
- Experience with the MEAN framework and SOLID application design.
- Experience with code coverage, testing frameworks, and code refactoring.
- Experience with automated deployment tools.
- Experience in native mobile applications (iOS, Android).
