Operations Management
• Supervise daily activities; including fleet management, optimize routes assignments, delivery timeliness, maintenance and replacements etc.
• Provide operational updates to Manager on regular basis.
• Populate priorities and logistics required for incoming and outgoing resources and submit to Manager for review.
• Assist Manager in the review and prepare workflows, manage staffing
requirements, routing and scheduling rosters and action plans that meet company standards for productivity, quality, and customer service.
• Execute transport operations systems by determining transportation costs, time, customs clearance, anticipate emerging transport operations parameters etc.
• Communicate general maintenance repairs required to the Manager.
• Prepare and analyze productivity and provide suggestions for loss prevention.
• Be the first point of contact for escalated issues and ensure timely resolution.
• Determine KPIs to drive team performance.
• Procurement
• Implement procurement strategies aligned with the company's goals.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining high service quality.
• Collaborate with other departments/teams to understand the transportation
needs and align with procurement efforts.
• Monitor external factors (e.g. regulatory changes, market trends etc.) that may
affect transportation procurement.
• Support in the sourcing and tendering process for transportation services and
vehicles.
Operational Compliance
• Ensure execution of plans as per company processes, procedures and best
practices; including Business Contingency Plans as necessary.
• Regularly review and streamline operational procedures to adapt to changing
industry trends and best practices.
• Provide recommendations to close service gaps and identify areas for
improvement.
• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing and enforcing
standards and procedures and by complying with legal regulations.
• Follow up on audit issues and ensure prompt resolution.
• Report all work-related injuries to Manager immediately; ensure immediate
medical attention is seek; follow up on staff recovery and provide/seek for
support to staff where required.
• Execute approved continuous improvements plans; monitor and gather
feedback from ground.
Stakeholder Management
• Manage and oversee client rosters to ensure quality of care and services are
achieved.
• Ensure excellence in client service delivery.
• Manage client service feedback and ensure feedback process is addressed.
• Build strong relationships with various stakeholders (i.e. customers, suppliers/
vendors, cross-functions/teams).
• Review and manage new contracts and renewals with suppliers; negotiate for
better rates; review service level of suppliers.
• Engage local vendors/suppliers/stakeholders to seek solutions to add value to
customers.
• Work closely with peers from the warehouse operations to optimize
• transportation processes.
Leadership and Direction
• Develop and implement policies and procedures for the department.
• Recruit, train, and develop a team of coordinators. - Plan schedules, assign
and delegate work to team members to meet deadlines and ensure timely
clearance of shipments.
• Provide performance feedback and conduct regular performance reviews.
• Prepare reports for local/regional Management/Senior Leadership team.
• Prioritize "Safety Above All", by cultivating a proactive, safety-focused working
environment.
• Empowers team members to create the innovative solutions for our customers.
• Ensure compliance to local regulatory requirements, including OT hours and
payments and safety related compliances. This includes the management of
contingent workforce engaged where appropriate
Financials
• Manage the department's budget; monitor expenses and revenues and ensure
that the department meets financial targets. This includes regular period review
with relevant stakeholders.
• Analyze financial data and identify areas for improvement.
• Ensure that pricing is competitive and that the department is profitable.
• Upholds and enforces the Company's financial standards and policies.
Yêu cầu
Senior: 4-5 Years of experience
Supervisor: 5-6 Years of experience
• University Degree
• Experience in the International Freight forwarding/ Trucking operations / Supply chain solution, with a focus in operation analysis, planning and transport management solutions design
• Customs House Brokerage (CHB) experience is preferred.
• Good command of spoken and written English.
• Good communication and presentation skills.
• Discipline and good interpersonal skills.
• Excellent project management skills
• Strong analytical, strategic planning, scenario mapping and decision-making skills.
• Knowledge of transportation rates and factors the impact them (i.e. seasonality, etc.) is preferred.
• Excellent influencing and stakeholder management skills.
• Pro-active, self-motivated, high learning agility, creative, passion of business, capable organization
• Excellent customer service skills.
