What will you do
- Translate business needs into an executable technology strategy and roadmap.
- Present proposals to engineering leadership and board of directors.
- Design solutions that demonstrate high levels of technical craftsmanship.
- Recognize overlaps in initiatives and proactively consolidate technical efforts.
- Inform and lead disparate engineering groups toward a common architecture.
- Coach and mentor engineers to help them upskill; help to build a culture of engineering excellence.
- Hands-on and work closely with the platform engineering team to build engineering solutions.
What you should have
- 7-10 years of software development experience, with at least 2 years in software architect role or equivalent role.
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Engineering or MBA from premier institutes preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, fluent English, spoken and written - Communicates effectively in all situations and creates an environment of open and effective communication.
- Hands-on technical experience with architecting and building large scale, highly available production-level consumer applications.
- Expert in software system design, especially in distributed applications with microservices, containerized applications.
- Experience with moving from legacy/monolith architecture to microservice architecture is a plus.
- Good knowledge about system infrastructure, on-prem and/or cloud. Familiar with SRE practices.
- Significant knowledge and experience with various development practices, programming languages, technologies.
- Ability to work with multiple levels of the organization with key stakeholders.
