Sourcing ManagerThe Home Depot

This position will be responsible for sourcing suppliers, conducting supplier assessment, cost management, quality and manufacturing control, supplier benchmarking, as well as supply base improvement.
This Sourcing manager will be leading our business demand with the Product Development Merchants (PDM) team and the different businesses within The Home Depot to manage the sourcing process. The role will be the primary interface between the suppliers in the region and The Home Depot.
This position will be focus on having high level of service on our current business, finding new business opportunities and developing new innovation and experience to our customers.
• Work with PDM and Merchants to develop direct sourcing opportunities from identification of opportunities to starting up the program and ongoing support. This includes supplier evaluation, product specification and packaging requirements, price/volume/ delivery negotiation, and managing supplier compliance to Home Depot's requirement (through both internal and third party resources).
• Research and identify additional potential suppliers using various methods (e.g. trade shows supplier conferences, etc.).
• Leveraging vendors relationship in order to generate more business.
• Developing new products, increasing our new product vitality.
• Deeply involved in Product development with our local team (PE, Packaging, QA etc...)
• Work with existing suppliers to improve performance. Key areas include cost, delivery, cycle time, compliance and innovation.
• Build and maintain relationships with existing suppliers.
• Strong business mindset and capable to think strategically to build partnership with all stakeholders.
• Able to work under high level of pressure.
