1.2. Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Laboratory Supervisor QC
Chemistry to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for
supervising and coordinating the activities of the chemistry laboratory team,
ensuring the accurate and timely analysis of samples, and maintaining
compliance with regulatory requirements.
1.3. Essential Duties
• Assist QC Lab Manager to supervise the chemical laboratory to ensure reporting
accuracy and timely through direct reports and subordinates.
• Supervise and coordinate the activities of the chemistry laboratory team,
including setting priorities, assigning tasks, and monitoring progress.
• Ensure the accurate and timely analysis of samples, including reviewing and
approving test results.
• Develop, implement, and maintain laboratory procedures and protocols to ensure
compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Ensure all activities comply with Quality Management System and take corrective
and preventive actions within the agreed time frame.
• QC Laboratory technical and validation committee member; responsible for
implementing improvement activities, conduct training for direct reports and
subordinates.
• Assist Lab system &
admin officer for maintaining Lab budget, Cash flow &
Capex.
• Monitor equipment for calibration, routine maintenance, equipment service
contract renewal and arrange for equipment to be service as per schedule.
• Responsible to coordinate/conduct trainings to direct reports and subordinates
within the job responsibility.
• Supervise Testing/validation of Method and documentation in Chemical analysis
section.
• Plan and manage annual leave among direct reports and subordinates such that
there is always sufficient crew to cover the Lab operational requirement
(including the arrangement of urgent samples) at all times.
• Responsible for providing technical training, advices and guidance to colleagues,
peers and subordinates to achieve higher capability and success rate.
• Take ownership to proactively seek out or generates ideas or solutions to
problems which will contribute to the improvement of work quality/process and
execution
• To discuss and engage subordinates/peers for smooth workflow and
arrangement of the urgent samples.
• Responds positively and provide constructive feedback on issues and works
effectively to take appropriate action immediately to eliminate non-conformity.
1.4. Minimum Qualification Requirements
1.4.1. Education
Minimum of University degree in Chemistry or related field.
1.4.2. Experience
• At least 5 years of experienced of quality testing in GMP environment.
• At least 3 years of experienced of QC/Lab team management
• Good experience in calibration activities
• Strong knowledge of analytical chemistry techniques and instrumentation.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Possess good planning, coordinating, managing and time management skills.
• Possess good knowledge in Good Laboratory Practice (GLP), ISO, and FDA
requirements.
• Self-motivated and proactive - Fully committed to improving the lab
performance - Improvements / modification to workflow and quality
improvement.
1.4.3. Skills
• Being well-versed with testing protocol and execution
• Advanced scientific knowledge regarding GMP testing
• Excellent communications ability in global setting.
• High-level or Excellent communications ability in English.
• Critical thinking and high-level data analysis
• Full understanding of Test Method Validation and Environmental Control and
monitoring
• Full knowledge of testing regulations (GMP, QMS)
• Full understanding of related publications (i.e. USP, etc.)
• Excellent Computer skills (Word, Excel, etc)
