- Support the
Purchasing Director in implementing and monitoring purchasing plans by each phase.
- Participate in sourcing, evaluating, and working with suppliers; assist in quotation comparison, contract tracking, and purchase order follow-up.
- Coordinate with suppliers regarding pricing, delivery schedules, quality requirements, and related documentation.
- Update and manage purchasing data, supplier lists, and contract records.
- Act as a liaison between the Purchasing Director and internal departments (Production, Engineering, Finance & Accounting, Logistics, Warehouse, QA/QC, etc.).
- Communicate with suppliers and international partners in English or Chinese via email, meetings, and direct discussions.
- Prepare and translate bilingual documents, emails, and reports as required.
- Collect, monitor, and analyze purchasing data (pricing, costs, lead time, and supplier performance).
- Prepare periodic and ad-hoc purchasing reports as requested by the Purchasing Director.
- Support cost control activities and evaluate purchasing effectiveness.
- Assist in scheduling, meeting preparation, taking meeting minutes, and following up on post-meeting action items.
- Track tasks, provide reminders, and ensure purchasing decisions are implemented on schedule.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Purchasing Director.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Economics, International Business, Logistics, or related fields.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, or related positions.
- Solid understanding of purchasing processes, supplier management, contract handling, and purchase order tracking.
- Fluent in English and Chinese (Mandarin) in all four skills, able to use both languages effectively in daily work.
- Experience working with Chinese suppliers or international partners.
- Knowledge of import-export procedures, logistics, and Incoterms is an advantage.
